1972 - 1976 Soliad Lafayette - Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, Pontiac LeMans 1973-77, Plymouth Satellite, Ford LTD Country Squire

1970s American midsize wagon. Front engined, RWD (FR layout, longitudinally positioned engine). Based on Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, with 73-77 Pontiac LeMans-styled front end, Ford LTD Country Squire side line, rear end and interior. Also takes some cues from Plymouth Satellite. Has one facelift in 1974, with restyled grille, bumper, indicators, rear end and interior. It's basically a wagon version of Palisade midsize sedan. Would have many versions:
    • Base - with 15" hubcapped wheels, beige interior, chromed trim on sides, power steering, radio, air conditioning, polished bumpers and grille, etc.
    • Luxe - Base + 16" hubcapped wheels, roof rack, black interior, chromed trim in interior, optional 3rd row seats, electrically operated tailgate window, etc.
    • DeLuxe - Luxe + 16" alloy wheels with thin whitewall tires, wooden panels on sides and tailgate, electrically operated seats, power windows, chromed bumpers, grille, roof rack, trim, HD suspension and brakes, etc.
    • Police - based on Base, with dogdish dogdish hubcaps, US police livery, 70s styled lightbar, etc.
    • Beater - based on Luxe, with rusty body, wheels, missing trim, worn interior, broken engine, etc.
    • Custom - based on DeLuxe, with 17" custom alloy wheels, tuned engine, custom color, custom steering wheel, rear coilovers, rear discs, etc.
    • Drag - based on Luxe, with semi slick tires, tuned engine and powertrain, roll cage, stripped interior, racing seats, rear discs, rear coilovers, etc.
    • Offroad - bases on Base, with offroad suspension, offroad wheels, roof spotlights, offroad livery, roll cage, custom steering wheel, tuned engine, rear discs, etc.
    • The Awful - based on Base, without grille, headlights, bumpers, tailights, hubcaps, many elements in interior, and with rusty livery.
Engines would be: 4.0 I6 180 HP, 5.6 V8 220 HP, 6.7 V8 260 HP, 7.1 V8 310 HP (tuned with 435 HP, for Drag with 750 HP, discounted after 1974 facelift) and 6.3 V8 Diesel with 205 HP. Transmissions are 2-speed automatic, 3-speed automatic, 4-speed automatic, 4-speed manual. Body type is body bolted on steel H-frame. Suspension is front double wishbone independent with coilovers and rear dependent solid axle with leaf springs. Brakes are front discs and rear drums (discs on some versions).

    -Why it should be added?
-We don't have any 70s wagons.

The 2008 Dodge series was just the best. The Charger and Challenger were awesome.
My favorite part was the tail lights and top speed, but they changed it and now it sucks

The closest thing we have to a '70s Wagon is the LeGran mod. However, it is not a "stock" car so I guess it doesn't count, but I do think it was made by a BeamNG staff. But that would be pretty nice. I don't know about the police edition. Do you have any police wagons you can post?

    Technical suggestions:
    - The insight we got into Soliad designs suggests that they don't look that much "Pontiac-like" - a Plymouth Satellite/Fury would be a nicer front donor,
    - 2-spd and 4-spd automatics, as well as 5-spd manuals, weren't much of a thing in mid-70s midsize class,
    - Soliad and Bruckell apparently share designs, so the Lafayette would have a longer Moonhawk frame and same '73-'77 model run.
    - HD suspension and brakes would be a nice addition to the Luxe or Deluxe,
    - The 244 ci/4.0 I6, plus some mid-200s ci (mid-4s litres) and low-300s (ca. 5 litre) V8s would be good. In fact, a post-lift model wouldn't have the biggest V8.
    - A diesel variant of the 378 ci V8 (like the Olds Diesel) would be a good '77 model,
    - There could be a California emissions law model, with Bruckell V8s - 368 ci, 323 ci, 281 ci.

Are we only talking about '70s Pontiacs and wagons? What about a '60s Corvette or 2014 Civetta.

Holy cow that'd be awesome. I don't know about Charmand. Maybe ETK? Charmand is from a mod and this would be the first time BeamNG would have plucked the name from a mod. ETK is german but that's the closest to European (french specific, really) we have right now.

Charmand first originated from the concepts list. Then the brand's name was used by schumacher in his first repo mod, the 1104 B.

Oh I didn't know. But that would be cool too, because everyone gets hyped when they hear there's a whole new company underway.

Civetta is kind of lonely as far as italian cars go, so here are some sugestions:

A modern sporty 2 seater like the alfa 4c:

Or an old iconic comuter car like the fiat 500:

And a gorgeous midengined 1960's supercar:
