What does each property mean? How does changing a property affect the performance of a supercharger?
gearRatio: the RPM ratio between the crankshaft and SC clutchEngageRPM: the SC starts to be engaged at this RPM, if set to zero it's always engaged clutchEngageRange: the range over which the clutch engages (from 0 to 1 basically), defaults to 20% of the engageRPM pressureRatePSI: how quickly the SC can build up pressure inside the intake, this has nothing to do with the maximum pressure, just with the time it takes to reach that pressure. Unit: PSI/s pressurePSIPer1kRPM: how much pressure the SC creates per 1k SC rpm (notice that this is only a theoretical value and gets heavily adjusted by the SC type in the actual simulation) Unit: PSI crankLossPer1kRPM: how much power the SC takes aways per 1k rpm, no really useful unit type: well the SC type... lobes: how many lobes the SC has in case it's a roots or screws type twistedLobes: roots type SCs can have slightly twistes lobes, making the a little bit more like screws boostController: how much boost you want to have at a given throttle amount, throttle goes from 0 to 100, boost value from 0 to 1 As for performance impacts... You can google that It's a bit too much theory to put it down here in a quick post.
Is there a section in the wiki that explains this? i found this Thread which is very useful but i was curious if there is a page that explains this as you did.
Sorry for the bump but i was curious if Twin Vane or other rare types may work if there is any other types? i was hoping twin vane may work but if so will it need other properties such as the way roots does example Lobes,twistedlobes? unless twin vane doesn't use anything like screw or centrifugal does.. if Twin vane works what format should i write it as "twinvane" i was assuming or "twin vane"??

Ok but twin vane? A rotor with two vanes? A dual SC setup? What are the characteristics of these? The type selection is there to simulate the different efficiency graphs vs rpm of the different types, like a centrifugal doesn't do much at low rpm etc.
Bumps are more fine then making new threads about the same thing, its on topic regarding characteristics of supercharger variants and how they would work in-game... basically informative.... saying "That's quite a bump is not a supercharger variant...it would cause fatal error.... and not help much in what were talking about... i would like your input on this since you were not originally part of the the conversation, your welcome to join its a free thread, but do you u have any to add on sliding vane or twin vane superchargers? my ears and eyes are open on this, any input is appreciative. --- Post updated --- i dont know if this is helpful but is there a way to simulate a sliding vane?

I have no idea, not even a slightest Update: I did read that sliding vane is less efficient than roots, especially on low pressure confitions or something like that, wikipedia had page named Powerplus: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerplus_supercharger Still I have no idea what is practical difference and how much effect it would have, what would be power draw and pressure vs rpm curves etc.
yeah no idea how the power curve would be...or if its not a good supercharger at all... just wanna replicate it in game to see what happens... not all superchargers are for 300hp gains lol... these were used on motorcycles and triumphs in the 40's-50's and maybe even after that who knows... just learned about this
For me it looks like something Miramar could have with 7psi boost, there were some cars and boost pressures etc listed in pdf.
Yeah the Miramar would would benefit with this even with 3-5psi anything about 1psi is a step in right direction for a Miramar.. they roast tires with hardly any power as it is lol
