Released American 80's Fullsize Series 2.1

It's not old sound volume but old sound system for cars that is now affected by the general sound effect volume in the game settings. For some people it solves the issue of no sound. Please note that those sounds are two years old and don't benefit of most recent sounds improvments. The mod would need a fmod upgrade, i'll see that when i have some time in the next future.

Audio Options, old SBEAM sound system is governed by the "Effects Vol." volume slider.

Check its level, it's probably muted.

And you still have the issue ? Are you sure you have the very latest version of the mod, codename and addon? It could be an issue between non matching versions of the two parts of the mod, as the sound folder is only present in one car folder, and also if your codename is more recent than your addon, then logically your Delta88 and custom cruiser section at least will be muted. This is a complex mod with interactions between a common folder and cars specific folders so any mismatch can make it work really wrong. All i can say is that it works when all is properly installed, as far as i know.

 

Well I went to the mods tabs and i downloading visa Top sources and i downloaded the mod unless there is a link that has the newest version than yes i do have the recent files.

Well it works fine for the rest of us so it seems that something happened on your end.
A few things that normally cause issues:
Do you have your copy of the game updated to the latest version?
Did you install it correctly? You need to also download the add on file in the first post for the additional cars. The first post has a pretty easy explanation for how to install it (don't worry about it being hard, it's extremely simple).
Have you cleared your cache?

 

Did you install the add-on pack? You download it from the forums and install it manually

Weird, it should work. Is the addon pack in the proper folder specified in first post ? Could be wrong sound pathes but then you'd also have textures issues so i don't see what's wrong sorry.

Unfortunately I also have issues with missing textures, concerning the glass. I redownloaded the mod, deleted every other mod, cleared the cache...still having the same issue. Any other ideas, what I coul do?

 

Any mod with wagons is going to be one the best mods on the forums. Are you going to release a repo version?

Missing textures issue means something is done wrong. Have you both codename_oldsfullsize.zip and codename_american_1980_series.zip in mydocuments/beamng.drive/mods/ folders ?
If one part is missing or in the wrong place, the mod won't work properly.

The repo version is the black codename oldsfullsize single car. The addon contains all the interesting stuff so i don't see any interested of rebadging plenty of Oldsmobile and Chevy Caprice to get them in the repo. The repo version and addon are interdependant (repo is standalone though if someone likes the black boring Codename) so it's basically the same mod with just different places to download it. Copyrighted brands and logo issue here, allowed on forum, not in the repo.

 

The mod won't work. Is it because I got the Codename from the in-game repository?

Well thank you. Sorry I thought I only needed the file attached to the first post of this thread. Got the oldsfullsize too and it works! Awesome, thanks mate!

 

You need both the repository version of the mod and the addon located in the first message of the thread to get the whole range of cars. The repo version contains only one car.
Both need to be in the game mods folder, i wrote it a few message before and in the first post.

Nope, that's the only way to do it.
