I mentioned size classes, which take both into account.

I got a better name for that mach 1, the mach none... They shouldn't use the mach 1 name on this junk...

Well, the same website now debunked that the car won't be named Mach 1.

    Bulky.
Except that crossovers are the pony cars and coupes of the 2010s - take mechanicals you have, put it in a fancy body.

Except that despite being very popular over several decades, coupes and pony cars didn't drive their less cool relatives into extinction - not even close.

The underlying premise is still the same and it wouldn't be different if the Capri outlived the Taunus/Cortina.

I mean, it's apparently Mustang based. If they stuff a Coyote in it, I'd unashamedly buy it. SUVs are meant to be big and not have stupid 3 and 4 cylinder food blenders for engines. An N/A 6-cylinder for small SUVS, a turbo 6 for large ones, and V8's for dad's who can't get enough of the ol' Dance of the Swans.

Ford, put a fucking V8 in this thing PLEASE.

I hope so. Mach 1 should be the name of a high performance Mustang, not a crossover.

Why do you hate what people do with their money so much?

Live, buy an used truck-based SUV to show the demand and let live.

Becasue modest beer budget people have a champagne taste and it annoys the hell out of me. All of those rich stay at home moms driving big truck-based SUVs to the mall, then to their nail appointment to show how much of a gold dig- I mean, how successful their husbands (or wives, it's a modern society) are, then go home to a big $500,000+ home that's empty because they can't afford anything else.

No, you know what? Lower the price of V8 truck based SUVs to the point where rich mommy simply can't be seen in one. Give me a cheap box on wheels I can take off roading and use for its intended purpose.

Does it have a physical hurtful effect on you?

Then buy an used one and show there is demand.

And making a more expensive vehicle usually leads to higher profits; you'd have to have no brains or other motives to avoid it.

Look what happened to the Defender. A few soccer moms ended up in those. Also, the g wagen started off as a utility (military!) vehicle that quickly became a überluxury car.

Ford already confirmed now that they will change the name of the SUV due to the huge amounts of fans bashing the idea of having the name Mach 1.

Blame Tesla for popularizing electric cars.

But atleast Ford decided to actually change the name to something else (it looks more like a Escape than a Mustang AT ALL).
