WE BROKE 1,200! WOO! We should get individual stats at the next database update. (Every 6 or 12 hours on ECF I think.) Yep. I couldn't submit 13000s and letting one run while I was away for 2 days fixed that. - - - Updated - - - It will take up to a week to normalize our stats and stuff. Right now the thing says I'm #1 and it will take 1.9 years for noah to catch up.
Looks like the stats confused you with me.... oooooo buuuurrrrn - - - Updated - - - I'm not sure why, but I jumped from 22k ppd to 33k ppd. Hmmm....
Everybody should start folding again I have no more competition! (JK) - - - Updated - - - Hopefully I can get a new card soon. The 280x's are finally starting to drop back down in pricing and are around $380. Hopefully they will get a bit cheaper soon.
I did lots of units in a very short amount of time using a VMWare client. The VMWare client was optimized to use all 8 of my core threads. I would be lost trying to set it all up again.
So, I took it out and burned my hand because the freakin thing runs 160F at idle. Now I'm folding on my GPU and CPU.
I'm still folding, but I've been sick so there's been more gaming and less folding for the past 4 days. I seems to average 90k ppd. EDIT: Also, I am selling some parts. I plan to move to a newer, lower power platform. http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2374583 I might be able to take off a small bit for folding team members. I know you guys will put it to good use. This isn't the only place this is posted though so if it's sold, it's sold. If you want to buy PM me here.
This WU I'm stuck on is taking forever. It keeps fluctuating between 8 hours and 4 hours to complete. It is really annoying.
Been tempted to sell my 3770K, MVG, 7950 and 350D then buy a 7850K, itx FM2+ board, a Node 304 and then jam a 290X in there. Anybody want to buy a 3770K?
I am aware of that. I've never once come close to maxing out my 3770K, I don't need it. EDIT: either do that or try and cram my 3770K in there with my H100 which is possible. I sure as hell don't want to run the stock cooler on this turd, runs so bloody hot.
I will never understand why someone would spend more money to get something worse just because ''I will never fully use it''. Paying to get something worse than you previously had, sorry I will never understand that. And you're not the first one I've seen do that...
I would be making money, a new 3770K is a 330$ abouts, even if I get a fraction of that I am still covering what I originally paid and will have to pay a menial amount for a 7850K, not to mention the surplus I will have from several other components. Also, for what I do the 7850K is not any worse than the i7.
I'll trade you my 7770 for that 7950 lol or...you know... You could just give it to me for free - - - Updated - - - I'm with you on that. I'd take Harvard's supercomputer if I could have it. Just to play beamng with 500 cars at once of course.
There are reasons behind all I'm doing, and as I said if I can fit my H100 in a Node 304 I'll stick with my 3770K anyways. I am going ITX as it is.
The thing about selling on forums like these is that most people alread have better systems than me, making it hard to sell.
