This is definitely not the first BeamNG Drive story, and hopefully not the last. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave a review!

    Chapter One
Torre’s Tires of Belasco City, CA
    08 July 1990

Torre’s Tires was a small business in Belasco City, California that was run by, well, Torre. Torre Wilson, specifically. He had just pulled up to his shop in his red 1989 ETK 2400tix TT~sport sedan when another car pulled in behind his current project car, a 1953 Burnside Special sedan missing a lot of parts and painted a dark gray. The car that had just pulled in was a green 1963 Ibishu Miramar GTz. The car quickly shut down, and Torre figured it was just another customer. But, the woman who opened the door was incredibly beautiful. She had dark brown hair, peach skin, and vibrant green eyes. She was wearing a royal blue shirt with a tan vest, and black pants. In one hand she held a small child, who was sleeping soundly. The other contained a book, which she had been apparently reading. Then a man stepped out. He had vibrant blue eyes and was wearing a green and blue plaid shirt with jeans. Torre was a bit surprised. Rarely customers brought children into the shop. The man stepped up to Torre, and he shoke off his momentary surprise.
“What can I do for you?” he asked.
“I heard from a friend of mine that you make custom cars. Is that true?” The man asked.
“Yes. We have a few things we can do. You can help us create your dream, you can buy and sell customs, and much more.”
“I like the idea of helping you. See, my wife and I just had our first child, and this GTz isn’t going to cut it. I intend to buy a pickup truck, hopefully you can help me there, and make my Miramar into an GTR4 car.”
“Sure, that’ll work. So, what is your name?” Torre asked.
“Name is Shawn Graham. This is my wife, Karen, and my son, Tom.”
“Nice to meet you,” Karen supplied, putting out her hand. Torre shook it.
“I am Torre Wilson. What I can do for you, Mister Graham,” Torre began.
    “Shawn will suffice,” Shawn interrupted.
“Ok, Shawn then, what I can do is my mandatory disassembly, so I can root out rust, and so on. Don’t worry about having your car cleaned, I’ll do that, and put the stuff that I find, cassettes, coins, and so on in a bag and give it to you. Also, I can give you a ride to the Gavril dealer once my assistant comes in, and you can rent a car if you want. How’s that sound?”
“Sounds good to me, Karen, what do you think?” Shawn asked.
“Sure, but I need the car seat for Tom,” Karen put in.
    “Alright, sounds like a plan.”
Sure enough, five minutes later, the plan was reviewed, Shawn paid, and everything was in the back of Torre’s ETK, and as a grey Ibishu Pessima pulled in, they backed out, and drove off to the dealer. After a quick drive, they were there, and left in a rented Bruckell Legran SE V6.
“So, that was a big decision that you made there, hon.” Karen said.
“Yeah, I know-,” Shawn paused to honk at a driver who had just cut him off. “but I remember what Nate told me about him. That’s where he got Nightsnake.” Nate was a good friend of Shawn and Karen, and Nightsnake was a 1970 Gavril Barstow that was teeming with upgrades, and was built by the two men, Torre and Nate, as partners. Nate kept the car, and Torre would sell identical ones, and take credit for the idea.
“Yeah, so I guess, we just go do what we came to do,” Karen.
“Yes, we will,” Shawn put in.
They were chatting for a while, as Shawn moved out of the city and into a suburb. He drove by house after house, until finally pulling into the driveway of a pale pink house with dark mahogany shutters and parked behind a white Ibishu Miramar. Shawn got out, walked to the back of the car, lifted the lid, and pulled out a large cardboard package.
    Chapter Two, Part I

    Diltzer Residence

    18 August 1985, 03:47

“Frederick, should we go? I heard that there is some sort of event going on,” an old woman said. Her husband, also incredibly old, replied,

“I have heard of no such thing Agatha. I believe wholeheartedly that it is worth the trip. We are low on table salt, anyway. The twenty-four market surely has it, and we are also up this late anyway, shan’t we make good on that fact?” the man called Frederick replied. He had sunglasses on, to compensate for no iris in either eye. He had tan skin, which was very wrinkly, and was tall. He also had a moustache and was reading from a Woodworkers Weekly magazine. He had a white T-shirt on, and grey shorts. His hair, or what was left of it, was pale grey, matching the grey of a cloud on a sunny, hot summer day. The woman named Agatha also had little hair, and beautiful blue eyes. The matched the sky above and twinkled as she sat in a plush red chair with a cat on her lap, in an old living room. There was no TV, and the wall was plain white, decorated with images. There was a fireplace on the left, built of stone. Fredrick’s chair sat next to Agatha’s, and between them there was a window and a table. On the table, there sat a fancy carving knife, in a beautiful blue that matched Agatha’s eyes. As they spoke, Frederick lifted up a set of two chained together hearts, placed it in a box, and slowly wrapped the box in a silvery blue gift wrap. The elderly couple sat for a minute, until Agatha said, to break the serene silence, “I’ll go start the car.”

“Ok dear,” replied Frederick, “Do let me finish wrapping this up.”

“I shall,” Agatha replied, before leaving the room.

Fredrick quickly concluded his wrapping, before materializing a small card. It a photo of a woman sitting next to a man. It was a black and white photograph, with a tall man with a goatee and a black shirt hugging a woman with shoulder blade length hair flowing away. On the card, in beautiful calligraphy, he wrote To Christie, may you forever have and hold your husband, and a very happy birthday to you as well. Dad. The photo on the card which Fredrick taped to the gift matched a photo leaning against the wall. It was an enlarged version of the one on the card, only on the white outline there were signatures. Some of the signatures included ‘Congrats, May God bless you both, Mike Gales,’ ‘Peace, love, and happiness, cherish each other, -Lisa’ and more like this. Some joker had actually written ‘Stolen from M.P.C.’ Frederick planned to give this to his daughter and son in law soon. He never had the chance.

    Chapter Two, Part II

Intersection of Baker Street & Tottenham Street

    18 August 1985, 03:56

A maroon Bruckell Legran was approaching an intersection. The intersection itself had no markings, but little did the occupants know that the road that they were about to turn on was closed for a race. And they lack of knowledge would cost these elderly grandparents their lives. As the car pulled out, another engine could be heard. It was a grey boxy coupe with dual headlights & it was midnight blue. A Gavril Barstow, with Shawn Graham behind the wheel. It had no time to avoid a crash. It slammed into the side of the maroon Bruckell Legran and spun across the road, headlights flashing their beams of light everywhere. A triangular, red car entered the intersection, a Civetta Bolide. The headlights off the Gavril seemed to have momentarily stunned him, and he slammed into the back of the Bruckell, and rolling over. The driver of a Bruckell Moonhawk who quickly showed up attempted to avoid the collision, but it only resulted worse for him. He quickly lost control of his car, bounced off of the Legran, slammed into the Civetta, and came to rest on the other side of the road. It was a terrible scene. The Civetta Bolide lay smashed against the wall, the headlights deposited onto the back of the Legran. The entire front end was bent up, and the doors had popped open, as the roof had bent severely. The driver sat where it seemed normal, and a small white object lay on the floor by his feet, his surprising savior. An aftermarket airbag. The Moonhawk lay smashed at the foot of a cliff. The engine bay was visible, and multiple components on the engine were damaged. The driver of that vehicle lay slumped over his steering wheel, still breathing, albeit labored. The Bruckell Legran lay an unrecognizable heap of metal, smoking badly, obscuring view of the occupants. And the midnight blue car. The one that had started the chain reaction. All but one light was smashed, and it quickly fizzed out. The entire front end was bent unrecognizable, but the passenger area was somewhat intact. Somewhat. The rear part of the vehicle was also damaged. The trunk area was severely banged up and covered in white foam. Shards of a fire extinguisher identified the culprit. The driver was not in good shape. He was bleeding from the neck, never a good sign, and a bloodstained hubcap from the Legran lied just outside the shattered window. A deadly tragedy occurred that night, and it took lives with it.
Here are some pics of the house they live in. *Not exact, but I am using the same design. I need to scan the actual blueprint that I made in. The pictures are from houseplans.com

I am hoping to make (not in the near future) a Short Stories series that incorporates the storyline of the book. For example, in a future chapter, Shawn and his family pass a car crash. That car crash would be shown in 'Short Story' form, and you would get to see the Grahams' car pass the incident.

Sorry the first chapter is slow. Second chapter should have action, and is coming soon, I just have to grab my thumb drive & copy and paste it in, so I'd say no later than Thurs. for chapter two. :)

Feel free to take your own pictures of events in the story, and I may put them in the main post, and include you in the credits!

Thanks! :) I wasn't planning on adding that, but that's a pretty good idea! It would probably be Nate's pet.
*You'll meet Nate in Chapter 3 or 4.

Thank you so much! This means the world to me to inspire two other people (and possibly several more) to write their own fanfics about this simulator.

I do have to ask - was Nate inspired by my own Nathan from Selva? If so, I wonder how he'll compare to the...unsavory sentient racing Barstow.

I'll be sure to get a review of this sometime soon - thankfully, it's not long, but I still want to get a thorough look at it.

Also, I've put this thread on my watch list. Definitely sounds like something worth watching.

Wow... never would have thought I would have inspired you to write...
Thats awesome! (I dont want to copy DrfitinCovet so imma say something different)
I really love writing, and even though my story has bee sitting idle for a while now, dont think its over.
I still need to do some more think, and make time for it, as school has hit like a brick to the face and thats my first priority.
Anyway, I am very happy to see other writer taking interest in this game, and even writing about it.
But honestly, I was DriftinCovet that got me into writing in this game.
    You can thank him :)

Thanks :) To answer your question, Nate wasn't inspired from Nathan. The name came from a generator, the personality was from an older manuscript, and the Barstow Nightsnake is better than the Elite Custom on the Moonhawk. However, the original Nate (from first manuscript) may have been inspired from Nathan, but I wrote it so long ago that I forget... :)

Well, you did :), and I love your story so far. I can relate to your school issues... here is my advice. Look at your book as extra homework, every night write a paragraph or so when you're done your other homework. Maybe you'll find yourself writing entire chapters in a night, that is what I do.

Editing posts does not make the thread containing them appear in the "What's new" tab :)

Yeah... I have been adding chapters and stuff to my story, and I’m fully aware of it not making it appear in the what’s new catagory. I just don’t think that people will like it very much so I just edit the main post and if they find it, they find it.

Chapter four should be coming by the weekend, and five by next friday. That will conclude Part I, with Part II (Ch. 6) coming out with the Christmas surprise. Christmas surprise might be more like January surprise, I am a bit behind schedule.
