    Thorns?

You need some proper tires to replace those that came with a bike. Costs $80 or more for pair though, but lots more fun and less flats too.

You can get flat proof tape from LBS too, but that can make those tires quite poorly rolling, good flat proof tires exists though, they just tend to cost a bit.

100 to repair? I hope not euros or dollars, that is like 15 minute job tops to swap new tube in.

Nice bike honestly to me besides the tires it was around if i remembed correctly 600 dollars
Most bikes at that store were over 1000 for a good offroader bike
    --- Post updated ---
They actually ask me if i want to replace the tire too so if there was other fragments they cant see wont poke again even when i told them no i still walk out with fresh tires
    --- Post updated ---
They keep the bike for about 2 days to inspect it and test ride to make sure nothing else is wrong
Last time i let them do it they messed up my chain where when i switch from 3rd to 4th the chain slips off and locks up

100 dollars is 3-4 hours of work, they are robbing you if they are asking 100 to fix a flat. Now they want to sell you some chinese cheapo tires at price of quality ones I guess?

You better switch place where you get bike serviced, that sounds kinda terrible, tbh.

Only issue im they are the only ones who can repair it no other shops near me fix my kind of bike
    --- Post updated ---
Either the other shops dont have the parts or the right skills to do it
    --- Post updated ---
Plus this shop is a family owned business so cant do much
    --- Post updated ---
100 dollars tho is alot for a tire repair but i guess if they have to replace the rim too it would make sense

I taught myself to do bike services, bought tools, did research of parts, found lot better options for parts online than any local shop even knew about, well worth it and today there are even videos to help you trough it:

You will save a price of new bike in two years if you spend some time to learn those skills.

yeah i know about that just half the time when i do try to which i did before something broke in the air tube thing and just never allowed me to put it in the pump it up
my dad always tells me only fill your tire half way to avoid popping it if you hit a pothole too hard
doesnt help even with full tires still stuck

It's literally under 2 minutes that I swap rear tire to my bike, but my bike is really easy one as it is Bontrager rim.

Just a normal cheapo Trek, very much like yours actually, normal 9mm quick releases 3x9 speed etc.

Although it did not came like that from factory, I have upgraded most of the parts on it.

If you are running low tire pressure and hit pothole / root etc, you will get snake bites and even rim might suffer, you need enough tire pressure to avoid hitting rim.

Schwalbe has some kinda ok cheap flatproof tires, look for example www.chainreactioncycles.com

    --- Post updated ---
is it just me or does it sound dumb to drift your bike in the snow if you had control
i may have tried it but fell flat on my face and broke a tooth

i wonder how it actually works for devs to find the best engine to suite their type of game they want to make but also know the limitations to those engines of choice?
