With CPU loaded 50% max and GPU going for 60-80% game's just freezing sometimes. On every map (Not mods- that's important). Any ideas?

    Specs:
    FX-8350 4.2ghz
    ATI 7870 Hawk 2gb VRAM
8GB ram (with 6,7gb loaded at most)
    and yeah, that's all.

    Let's see a performance graph.
You can find the button for that in the side menu (PERFORMANCE)
You must have 'Advanced Features' enabled to see it, under Options > Gameplay IIRC, else see in the User Interface submenu
After pressing that PERFORMANCE button, press the HIDE button on top-right corner.
You can just drive around meanwhile.
When it pop ups back, take a screenshot and post here.

    Do this also on Gridmap.

    HDD?

Turn shadows off from graphics options, that is going to help a lot, it is bit funny how without shadows game can even run smoother even at same 60fps.

Of course it is not so pretty, but tbh your CPU's single core performance is really hurting performance in this game currently.

That's kind of painfull, because my previous CPU was fx4300 and i had to turn them off too to see somewhat 45-60fps...
Actually HDD might be the reason. it's pretty old and loud.

HDD definitely causes all kinds of micro pauses, they get bit less with more time on map, but even with 8086K and gtx1080 it is constant lag spike fest with HDD, so really one needs to run game with SSD to run it smooth.

Shadows, ssao, light rays, reflections, DOF, those are kinda heavy on CPU, I always keep shadows at partial and on some maps need to set to none for smooth performance.

With your GPU though, it could be that you are not needing quite so much single core performance as GPU will start limiting performance so much earlier, but everything still counts.

However I have noticed that without shadows, HDD causes less of those lag spikes, which is bit funny as with shadows there should not be difference in amount HDD needs to load, but maybe that saves some processing then, hard to say why it is so much better without shadows.

My i7-6700 system has some 30% faster single core speed and it is not exactly most wonderful in this game, having something like over 120 points in user benchmark starts to be less limiting, while your cpu is 74 points and my i7-6700 is around 108 points I think it was.

It mostly starts to show up with enough fast GPU as GPU is not staying 100% while FPS are below 60fps.

Update: I've disabled AMD cool'n'quiet in bios - gave like 10-15 fps on east coast map. Plus i think my hdd already begs for mercy because it has 5.9 points in windows 7 performance test (everything else is about 7.3-7.9)
