This update is probably gonna be as fun as executing a tortoise with a croquet mallet, casting it off to the sun.
Serious post for once There are many surprise things and features that Devs aren't upfront about Not every update has to have major content additions. Making parts of the game already established be less buggy, better fleshed out, and generally a better experience can be more beneficial then a new car or map. Don't complain about how people working there ass off to create new content for users, postpone said content so people like you can have a more stable and smoother experience.
I mean... With that gravity video TDev uploaded earlier today, the most fun upcoming content may actually be the ability to hit something hard enough to send it into the sun...
Ndx said that the career mode is being worked on! Also, it seems that everyone forgot that post in the devblog about sketch s of characters like we have in the senseless destruction has, and it was never released in updates.
tdev mentioned scenario system is reworked: https://www.beamng.com/threads/any-news-on-career-mode.58244/#post-937245
I wasn't offended, (easy to tell because of the fact that I wasn't screaming or whining) I thought you were commenting on how you thought the next update isn't going to be fun or worthwhile. I'm so sorry i couldn't tell that it was a joke.
Developer activity around forum, new vehicle got thread, Italy release possibly before March, also there is possibility they have only some polishing left to do for update release. Then last weekend before this month ends, and Halloween might be something to aim for. Of course it is possible that update needs more time of polishing, which could be November release as Fera predicted, but then there would not be too much time before March and we know Italy is not coming with next update, so there has to be one more update before March, so October release would allow more time to work on that. They could of course have next update already wrapped up and they keep holding on it until November, then make another release around December-January. While they can work on next big version and small version at the same time, when pushing releases, they might need to put next big version work on hold, that can have an effect to scheduling. So 0.14 might happen December - February and before that there could be 0.13.X release, which could be 26.10, maybe.
wow, it's crazy how just polishing things up with a new photo angle can make a car that i, at first, thought was kinda ugly (sorry!) turn into a car that i absolutely LOVE! great work as usual, Gabster! (i assume) oh btw in case your too lazy to actually click the link @ManfredE3 put up, here are the pictures and description for the new Autobello Piccolina; also, the line "extensively customizable" intrigues me- does this mean that, unlike, some of the most recent vehicles added, this new Piccolina is going to come with a ton of trim levels and configs, as well as maybe even a police car of sorts, like the German police beetle? [but of course italian for italy]
i was using the german police as an example since the Piccolina has relatives to the beetle, of course it would be italian for the new italy map haha!
I was kind of hoping Autobello would be a little older as a company (1900s - 1920s) so that we could have some vintage Italian cars, like the old Fiat ~HPs or the late 30s mass market 500/Topolino.
Even VW was older than Autobello, and their Beetle (which this car has a few elements similar to the Beetle) was first released in the late 30s.
I have been admiring details of this new vehicle and when I now look some older vehicles that are already in game, they seem quite low detail compared to this new one. For example Miramar has all chrome wiper blades, some cars have quite bit more blur on textures etc. If such high detail of this car continues at interior too, then it might be slightly different from the rest. Hopper and this new vehicle are showing then higher visual quality than others, but maybe others will get updates at some point, otherwise I guess this new car would of made with lower details.
