G29 Steering wheel, help!

Hi there, recently I bought a g29 steering wheel from Logitech with a shifter. I'm having trouble setting it up and wondering if anyone here knows how to set it up, thanks!

It's also a ps4 steering wheel so I don't know if that has to do with anything

 

My own G27 setup has a plug set up to a plug adapter which goes into a socket into the wall.
There should also be a USB, in which you put it in the USB port. And then download and run the software and it should be good to go.

 

PlayStation G29's are not directly compatible with PC, I know because I have one too.

To set it up you do need to download the 'Logitech Gaming Software'... I'm not exactly sure if its all you need though because I reset my computer a year or so ago and haven't reinstalled since.

The only thing I needed to do was install the Logitech gaming software and BeamNG recognized my steering wheel along with my shifter, thanks for the help!

anyway, i was getting a steerwheel, pedals, and a shifter soon, and i was wondering which ones are the best?
I dont mind if they are expensive, i just wan to know which ones tend to last a while and are rather nice.

So far for me the G29 has had no problems so far, but once when I plugged into my PS4 I was fighting against the force feedback in Grand Turismo Sport Online and all of a sudden my steering wheel started to smoke. it turned out that it was rubbing against a bit of rubber and it got really hot. I don't know about the G27 though, On amazon there 800$ or something and they are just really old, meanwhile my set was about 300$ - 350$ and It's pretty new.

 

so dont get a G29 or a G27?
$800 bucks is outa my price range tho

 

Well out of the three current steering wheels by Logitech the G25, G27, and G29. The G29 in my opinion is best and the newest.

I bought a G27 off my friend for $100 CAD, perfect condition. Around here they go for at least $200 CAD used. Surprisingly quiet wheel compared to the DFGT which is the most common (and best for the price - $50-$100 CAD here) budget wheel with FFB.
Main differences between a G27 and G29 is just the layout and a bit of aesthetics, the G27's button layout in my opinion is a downgrade from the DFGT, but the G29 fixes that as it's near identical to the DFGT. They feel really similar while driving in sims, it's hard to improve on an older product when it's already so good at something.

Between the G27 and G29 it's personal preference and what's on sale in your area. If we're talking newer and more expensive wheels, then it gets different.

I have had no problems with my G29, they are great quality and relatively cheap compared to other high quality racing wheels
