WIP Davidbc's test facility (+ random stuff)

    I found some speed bumps models today that look SO good, they're perfect for the map and to make some parts of the test circuit:

    2k polygons. There is no FPS impact.

    You should try it with a computer that just gets over the minimum requirements when the level is complete, not now.

    Besides, 2k polygons for that shape is trust me, overkill.

    They actually had 6k polys, I managed to reduce it to 2k with blender keeping the original shape, so they look exactly the same but with 4k polys less. In a game like this I MUST have objects like this, no matter what. But don't worry, I'll optimize the map the best I can, like disabling shadows for some objects and such when possible.

    Why not model your own and use beamng's ability to use normal maps to make it look 3d? You really wouldn't notice the difference.

    Yeah why not, but right now I'm more focused on the map itself rather than in the objects. Once I finish it then I'll optimize and make it better.

    I actually like it so far, and I will use it for EuroNCAP's real tests, for every Beam car and give it a rating.

    Thanks, I will test every car here too :D

    So far there is the ramp, a little off-road test, and then the bumps from the picture and a little road with random bumps for suspension testing. If anyone has any video or something with more tests I would love to put them in the map.

    that reminds me, i really REALLY hope that BeamNG will have ultra realistic suspension, like suspension in real life

    We do have ultra realistic suspension. Attempt any of the maneuvers seen in that video and you'll get the same damage. We probably have the best suspension physics of any simulator right now.

    It doesn't matter how many times you guys ask. We do not have a release date. We don't know when we will be releasing anything.

    What do you think you should include in the demo? Everything you have completed so far or just a couple cars and 1 map?

    Imagine everytime someone asks when the demo is going to be released the demo is prosponed for one week.

    I was just saying the game is not complete. They were going to release a VERY EARLY DEMO, but didn't. The developers are annoyed that everyone is asking for a demo. By saying what i said people will IMAGINE that whenever they ask, that the game will be prosponed; therefore noone will ask for a demo/beta. Theres my logic, sir.
