I REALLY love the look of the new updated engine. though, I would love to see some TLC put onto other engines like the Gavril i6, the T-series motor, and various others.

Well, this is 2nd revamp of Gavril V8, so maybe it is their test bed, when it works out well enough, then they move on improving other engine blocks?

The wiring on that distributer cap is tweaking my OCD. Not even like... a zip tie or anything?

That's not OCD man, not even close to it, it's just "perfectionism". The distributor cap looks fine to me

    What's the point?
I doubt it'd be worth it.

I get what you're saying, but he was obviously using "OCD" as the popular slang term, not the actual condition.

Will the diesel have a removable particulate filter so I can roal coal like a red-blooded 'Murican?

The pulleys look OHC, but those look like pushrod rocker covers. @B25Mitch, care to elaborate?

Here is my theory: It is a pushrod engine, as the crankshaft output is directly underneath another pulley, which is in the usual place for a pushrod camshaft:

The extra pulleys on the sides are similar to what you would find in an LS1 - they also make it easier to install a supercharger.

Dumb question: Will there be a Grand Marshal diesel? This has no real-world analogues but would be fun to play with, sort of like the SBR4.

    i have a question...
lets say a mod that uses the old engine model and will the textures disappear in the next update since the old engine models and textures are no longer a thing ?

What sort of fuel injection system does this engine use? The carburetor-esque grey thing on the intake headers suggests single-point EFI (a popular injection method used on a lot of engines in the late-1970s/early-'80s, but definitely out-of-date by 2001). If it is multi-point, then I'd really like to know what's on top of the intake headers in this photo.

Also, the turbodiesel V8 just made me really excited for the next update. Sure, it won't have the Autobello, but a proper diesel for the D-Series/H-Series/Roamer? Oh, yes, please; now I can finally haul (both ways) and get better towing whilst not having the extreme overheating issues of the supercharged petrol V8s (and a whole lot more torque at lower RPM, too). May I ask...how big is this diesel V8 going to be? 6 liters? 6.5 liters? 7+ liters?

I think the intake should look more like a TPI since it should be mutipoint considering the age of the cars it is in, by '88 (when D15 was first introduced) many cars had mutipoint injection systems

The new gavril V8 is almost a carbon copy of the Ford Triton family lol. Right down to the intake design, central alternator, t-stat outlet, timing chain cover, and valve cover design. If the appearance is anything to go by, it's definitely overhead cam.

The picture doesn't do the resemblance justice. If you've ever had one of these apart you'd know what I mean.

Are we going to get new V8 sounds with it as well? Especially for the diesel versions?
