I had it on 35s and got stuck somewhere else, i forgot where.. Anyways this map is wonderful man! I have a suggestion though, a different better res rock texture would look good! And maybe darker more woodsy grass would help.
I think it looks very awesome. I was running around in the HellJeep crawler version and had a blast. Some spots you needed to back-up and get some speed to get through just like in real life. Hopefully the mud doesn't make it too hard to get up some spots. Keep up the awesome work!
Re: Proving Grounds 4x4 park What kind of vechicle where you using, could you give me a download page or something, would really helped alot.. Seems cool. - - - Updated - - - I agree... first when i joined now i had 20 on fps.. now when i play its down to 13.. when i get a little far and i fail the map just goes to 5 :S - - - Updated - - - What kind of map is this, where is it avaible? (Youtube video: 1:43 etc..)
For this map i mostly used L3DT to make the trails(it was originally for RoR), but for my other maps i used the ingame editor. The main thing is to use high res maps of around 0.1-0.4m per pixel, then just use the lowering tool to make the ruts, for the best results i make the ruts much deeper than i want, then use the smooth slope tool until the depth is right
How did you do the high res map and how to change the pixel per meter thing? I am wondering because i am making a map and i think that these trails(Rutts) would be awesome to use in the map but I don't know how to make it. My map http://www.beamng.com/threads/7139-6-Hundred-Acres-(Offroad-park)
there is an option when first importing the heightmap to set how large it will be, the smaller the map the more high res it will be.
Sorry for asking so many questions but i have one more and that should be it. How do you grass be like real grass and not just painted grass having it be animated???
Re: Proving Grounds 4x4 park I`m sorry but there really seems to be an error with your map. The fps issues I have are not related to bushes or trees. Here is a screenshot showing the map after I removed ALL large and small bushes and ALL oak trees and task manager showing medium CPU usage while i still get 1 fps ingame: Removing the trees and bushes didn`t increase the fps at all. My graphics settings are low and I can play any other map with 50+ fps but here I get at most 2 fps. Only when I disable physics I get about 50 fps so the issue seems to be CPU related. My specs: I5-2500 GTX 550ti 8 GB Ram Would be great if anyone had an idea what could cause this. Could even be a problem with the engine, I dont know
But if that were the case wouldn`t fps stay the same if I disable physics since the graphical presentation doesn`t change? To me it looks like something causes the physics engine to go crazy.
Well that was fun... (imported from here) I spent about 45 minutes with this one vehicle, I rolled it countless times but managed to get it out, smashed into multiple trees and bent the tie rod a lot. I managed to complete most of the tracks, but sadly my axle got caught and snapped the drive-shaft, it's dead now. Love this map btw!
I really can't wait to try that thing out, it will probably end up in worse condition though I really gotta get around to updating this map, i have done some more tracks, just gotta make them actually go somewhere
i believe it is a ford ranger can only find this vid on it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5AMBSYuYJI
you need to download the original first, then copy the V2 zip contents into the original. unfortunately i can't just upload the whole map everytime i update it because it take about 5hrs per hundred MBs to upload.
