      • This is a shout out to Modders, particularly ones skilled at suspension work.
I want to address something that has yet to exist, and I find no pre-existing topics in regards what so ever. Giving the pickup independent suspension in the back. I don't tend to make forum posts(I don''t like to for that matter), this is my first on the site since I got BeamNG and joined up 2-3 years back. Though the lack of any thing on this topic has led me to bite the bullet, so to speak and make a post on something I'd REALLY like to see.

Now Don't get me wrong my favorite suspension for a 4x4 is solid axles F/R, but full Independent suspension would give the D-series(and the H-series and Roamer for that matter) unparalleled high speed offroad capabilities. There are plenty of risen up rock crawl/mud truck worthy suspensions. Full 4-links, and Portal Axle mods for example. Though many of them it's more a slow offroading over things or through mud. You turn a bit much at speed and roll very easy, or brake while turning to avoid and obstacle only to flip into a wall.

Those Trophy trucks cruising over the sand and dunes and whatnot have fully independent suspensions and tons of suspension travel(going 150+mph). Now the suspension would not have to be so extreme or at least not be just extreme(much like how many of the currently existing suspensions are, you can change the dynamics by swapping out less and more extreme parts).

Imagine combining fully independent suspension with a mod that puts the engine in the bed of the D-series, or the back of the H-series, or replaces the rear seats of the Roamer. Push it to 600-800hp a Tranny that goes up to at least 150mph, you got a veritable Trophy/Baja vehicle. IRS+IFS would also allow for better handling on the road vs solid axle(s).

Thank you to anyone that pays mind to my suggestion here in a positive way. Especially any who would take to creating rear independent suspension for the D-series at a minimum(the others are take or leave, mainly want for D-series).

    yeah, its a good idea.
It'd be a pain in the ass to implement to all of the cars you listed, I would think.
You would also have to be quite good at jbeaming and modeling to even make something close to that pic, but its definitely possible.

The pic is just an example really. Yes it would be awesome to have it look like that ingame, though whatever the IRS looks like is fine(as long as it looks realistic for a pickup type vehicle).

Well, with IRS and lowering D15 would serve ETK their own exhaust pipes as it would run around ETK in corners. Even current Roamer can be tough opponent.

Been waiting to see if any mod capable users will bite onto this idea. Also yeah it indeed would really do much to improve the road worthyness. Less wheel hop or sliding out uncontrollably at the back, to where even when your trying to drift, unless in 4x4 you wind up with the back facing the direction you where going. Be great to go arond a corneer faster then not just an ETK vehicle but like an SBR4 or Sunburst lol.

Was hopeful of more attention to this mod idea. Especially seeing as it's kinda surprising no one has attempted anything the like or even brought it up before.

It's not hard to do yourself actually.

You make a new suspension.jbeam where the diff has 3 nodes per side and make hubs of 3 nodes. Then you can easily make what is in your picture, jbeam-wise. Then for the mesh, you can use the lower arm and hub of the bolide+halfshafts and modify them.
You might want to give it a try, doing stuff yourself is kinda fun :)

i'd love IRS on the D-series to be able to make them into stock truck nascar cars.
