no problemo it shouldnt take too long for the actual map to be released the scenarios and everything else will take most of the time
Picture to keep you guys excited. This is not a dead project, just busy with other things. Edit: or not? i guess photos aren't working. I'll try later.
Probably not, but there will be one or two new towns that you will be able to drive in. Also, today I worked on getting more grime on the roads (before most places you drove you could see some big differences but no details, so I fixed that.)
hey gamers, guess what? it's holiday vacation and I'm going to work on this again! --- Post updated --- So for some reason Fallout: Utah isn't showing up in the maps thing, I haven't cleared cache or anything. I'm working on my own fix but if anyone has an idea please tell me
Sweet! I'm not sure why the map would not show unless its because its an older version of the map or something though.
The update might've messed something up. I did notice that the map file was no longer in the levels folder, so I'm trying to put it back in, but copy and pasting is not working well.
Cancelled (for now) So what happened? Well, as you can see for some reason the map didn't show up. I did my best to try and fix it, couldn't figure it out. then my computer died my computer is working again though. i still can't figure out how to fix it. Will I start again? eh maybe it was a fun project and i might do it again but i don't know maybe if you guys really want it. i do have 32gb of ram now though and beamng is running a lot better. so maybe. I'll do some tinkering around but idk.
ok everyone says yes so i'll do something atleast --- Post updated --- Flooded river or dried up river?
Alright guys. I want some suggestions before I start doing anything major. If anyone here would be able to help with getting files and stuff set up, that'd be great.
1. Puts some rocks on the highway, as some rock slides 2. Those highway brights, destroy one lane, then other 3. The dirt trail at the bottom of the highway... put some brights part on the dirt trail 4. RJ's repair place... put a plane in there, that way a plane crashed into it. 5. Put some abandoned cars, like the Burnside, covet, D-series, T-series, and all the ETKs. (Also put a working beater covet, so that way its will legit) 6. Put so much T-series part, just for the crazy Pewdiepie fans to rip them apart. (optional)
Remember, it's a driving game - Fallout was the 'slow walking simulator 2008' - 'setgs fmoverunmult 6' is burned into my brain forever. If you break all the roads, it won't be that much fun, other than a challenge map with missions to get from point A to point B. So while you of-course should continue mapping (I wouldn't discourage a fellow mapper, no-matter the skill level), you also should make sure that there is some way to still get around the map. Maybe have a slightly broken bridge (vs removing it or laying it on it's side) that requires careful driving over steel panels/plates etc placed over a hole in the bridge, and avoiding some rough pavement with holes in it. If you know what you're doing with jumps, you can make some fun times with those - if the road is straight enough. Regardless, you will still have people that definitely do (and some who don't) enjoy it no matter how you make it. I spent thousands of hours making just ONE of my maps (surely everyone knows which map that is), and some folks were still not happy!
