All programs are good as long as you know how to use them and also if they export to COLLADA format (.dae)
And I'm new on this kinda thang so... how would you import or put the car into the game after your done?
Not entirely true. I would never use google scetchup to model stuff for games. Google Scetchup is mostly for visualisation stuff.
Yeah, what Oophus says is entirely correct. I wouldn't recommend Sketchup for the following reasons: - Easiier to start with, but MUCH MUCH MUCH harder to master enough to make poly-efficient game models - You can't UV-map - You can't do normal maps - Can't do A/O baking - It was never meant for making game models. You already shouldn't in RoR(except for a select few that were really good at it), but in BeamNG... Well... Normal maps, UVing, and A/O baking are gonna be hugely important for this game, so you really shouldn't use Sketchup. Now... I think Jalkku would appreciate it if this stuff gets discussed elsewhere, and not in his Polo thread :/
Yeah, please continue that conversation somewhere else. The polo isn't dead, I've been busy with other projects lately, like a racetrack and a Zakspeed Ford Capri.
I'm sorry this is kinda off topic but can some one help me. I got blinder and I have no idea how to work it because I am use to google scetch up and iv messed around with blinder for like 3 houres and I just cannot figure out how to do any thang on it. Can some one help ?
usually if you aren't making a big game or trying to make money using the real name doesn't get anyone in trouble
As the 2 posts above me said. He won't have any issues whatsoever with copyright. As long as he doesn't ask money for it, it falls under the 'fair use' category.
