This games audience is literally half children, they will download everything. It has stolen their playerbase, and has demotivated them from making any good quality mods. Have you noticed how modding has dropped significantly since the automation exporter?
The fact that their creations that they've worked on for months or even years have been overtaken and shadowed by shite Automation mods that took maybe an hour/2 hours to build.
We aren't discussing the main issue, so maybe we should get back on track here. This game is going downhill, don't even try to tell me it isn't, stop trying to be on the devs good side and voice your opinion.
Can we please get back on track? This thread was never focused on the drama regarding mods, please take that elsewhere. Thanks.
You can have more than one mod. The really good mods overshadow any Automation stuff - vide Gladiator and Mark IV tank. --- Post updated --- If you are right, why are you so unconfident?
Look, if we stop being in denial about this game going downhill we might be able to actually accomplish something. So lets get back on track, and stop trying to lie to everyone about how this game is doing fine, this game cannot improve without critique.
There are many awesome things going on with Beamng but my timeclock for what this game was to be about is running out. Another thing that is depressing, threads like this always start out with the best intentions and always devolve into flamewars and then promptly get nuked. Every fucking time the subject gets swept under the rug in a hail of bullshit and butthurt. I'm done.
From my experience it is about 4-5 years that person can do one thing, then one needs a change to stay at the peak. I also think there is nothing wrong of looking something else for a while, maybe in coming years coming back to BeamNG it will be all much better. I'm not sure how really express this so that it is not misunderstood, but there are a lot of incredible fun things, other games, other mods to make and there is always possibility to come back too, it is revitalizing to experience other things every once and for a while.
If this thread gets nuked, even if it's a civil discussion. Then I'm going to assume that it's censorship.
Ok people, especially @Glitchy, Fera made a very well thought out and non aggressive thread, please don't make this a hate thread. If someone is of a different opinion than you, then that's perfectly fine. If you want to convince them, please use proper arguments rather than passive aggressive posts. Would be a shame if we'd have to end up closing the thread due to uncontrolled flame wars...
I completely agree with him ^^ Let's try to improve the game other than going at each others throats.
Every time one of these conversations take place you act like anyone who disagrees with you is just doing to to kiss up to the devs. People have valid reasons for disagreeing with you and you need to stop the “my POV is the obvious truth” stuff. Just because development isn’t happening how you want it to doesn’t mean that everything is going to the gutter.
You may not understand what I'm trying to say here, but I do feel like a lot of people are ignoring the main issues, which are overshadowing the big issues, which are progress, and improvement.
My main point against this game is the tyre physics. (I tried this earlier) If you go around WCUSA's track in an Ibishu Covet 1.5 DXi, then you shouldn't expect to go around the corner at more than a mere ~40 MPH. Also I found an issue where I was able to roll over the Pessima just by turning it
I agree that there should be a conversation and things are going in strange directions, but it seems like I see you pulling that card every time and it’s really getting annoying. I’m not saying things are perfect, but considering that Bugbear and Saber have now gotten absorbed by THQ and Focus and BeamNG is the last of them standing, things can’t be going too bad.
@fufsgfen, you are a diamond in the rough around here, always trying to help and being positive, thank you. None the less I am taking your advice vigorously and having an absolute ball crashing, wrecking and making friends online in Wreckfest. While not even close to Beamng in many respects it handily satisfies what I thought Beamng would be about 5 years down the road. I must have misinterpreted what the long range goals for BeamNG were but all I know is I want to have fun wrecking things in a reasonably stable and looked after game. BeamNG is a completely different animal today and for the next 5 years at least.
