Is there any way to make a torque converter To stay unlocked till a set rpm lock then unlock after it shifts and so on
This is not the place to ask questions. This is the section for peoples projects. And why did you make 2 separate threads? Just put both questions in the same thread. How about think and read the rules before you post something.
This is the wrong section for questions, but I'll answer yours. You can only set one lockup point for a torque converter, as well as a minimum lockup gear. The torque converter will try to lock when it is at or above the minimum gear, and it's OUTPUT rpm is above the set rpm (so the TC will lock at the same speed even if it is slipping lots). If you have your lockup rpm above your shifting rpm, the TC will lock, then the transmission will shift, and the rpms will drop and the TC will unlock until it hits lock rpm again. The wiki gives a pretty detailed explanation of how this works, and all the variables you can use.
