To add to this, if you do figure out which mod it was, please tell the rest of us on this thread, that way if anyone else has the same problem they won't need to sort through their mods.
to the other sound you mean the old ass default one, there will be no fix as there is no going back from it.. only if you re install the game then add the modds back, with out adding that mod
Can you make another sound but it only works for the specific mod and not affecting the sounds of the rest of the hopper engine sounds? I love this mod but that is the only thing that bothers me
I don't know why this mod replaces custom engine sounds and engines from other mods which really bugged me more than anything but seeing as this problem isn't getting much attention or apparently a fix, I was determined to find a solution and I know jack diddly about modding so I'm surprised this worked. This is how I fixed it, haven't had any issues yet and I also have the newer standard engine sounds back too. Uninstall this mod through the game - close beamng - clear the cache - download this mod again - open the mod folder from the folder you downloaded to - find the sounds folder - delete the sound folder. I guess some of the sound files are for the custom V8 engine that comes with this mod so if want to keep that maybe ask someone who knows what they're doing, I have no interest in that particular engine so it doesn't bother me.
Mod included old SBEAM sounds (that's what the /sounds/ subfolder was for). Game is currently set to disable the new FMOD sound system for the vehicle when an old sound mod is detected (see console alert). Installing this mod would in fact disable engine sounds for all Hopper presets, even the standard ones.
It works fine for me when it’s unpacked. The only thing that won’t work is the engine sounds since this mod used the old SBEAM sound system.
