Whats going on with career mode?

    Ever since ive started playing this game, almost 2 years ago, There has been a career mode option that is
    "coming soon" and ive always been waiting and I really would like to know whats going on with it, when its going to be released?

    Work in progress. I'm pretty sure the devs weren't happy with initial prototypes so they are starting again. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    EDIT: Ignore this, tdev answered the question at the exact same time.

    My understanding is that Career mode was temporarily postponed at some point in 2018 because the scenario system needs to be overhauled in order to allow career mode to function properly.

    Information is scant on exactly what is being done to the scenario system, when the work was started, and how it is progressing. Hopefully that information that @tdev mentioned will arrive very soon.

    Is the replacement world editor part of the overhaul being made to the scenario system in anticipation of career mode?
