So i got a pretty bad PC and if i have to i can't play West Coast USA on low grafics so I have to get the grafics on lowest
and with the new map coming out i asked myself ... is the italy map way more Fps draining than the City of West coast USA ? (Utah is playable with almost 30 FPS on low grafics on my PC)
and according to the game my pc specs are suffitient but i if i turn up the quality i have max. 15 FPS so ... im confused

    whats your PC specs?

if you get 30 fps on Utah with lowest settings, Id say that your PC isn't totally up to the task of BNG...Italy is going to be far more graphics intensive, with all the crowded town areas (all those buildings!!) and the textures and trees and stuff, Im almost afraid I wont get solid 60 fps there

Graphical intensity isn't the only thing, another is if your computer has enough memory to load the map at all (since it is 4x larger than Utah) without crashing. So, PC specs would be useful if you provided them.

The minimum specs haven’t changed, so assuming you meet those and there aren’t unforeseen issues it should be at least playable. Of course if you need to turn the graphics settings down to get it playable then it is what it is.

I think that the update (since Italy map is 4 times bigger than the largest vanilla map) will actually bring optimization to the game engine and probably to all the maps, including West Coast.

From what I remember, the problem with WCUSA is that the City's buildings are essentially one big model, or something like that, which makes the game a bit laggy in downtown...correct me if im wrong. Even on my mid-range PC (i5 6600k and 1060 6 gig 8 gigs ram) I get a little laggy with 2 cars in downtown, everywhere else tho no problem.

thats what i was thinking ... my Pc is almost fully occupied with beamng and i think it cant even load the map

so i can play it on low grafics and every grafic option turned of ... and it still looks pretty decend ... but on west coast USA i have to put it on lowest and then you cant even recognize many things anymore ... that is just unplayable because the grafics are so low xD

Well, update will be free of charge, so it does not cost much to test it out when it is released.
