Yeah noticed the matte look the cars have on the lowest settings (which is what I can run Italy on). Also, is anyone seeing that the road markings aren't white on the lowest settings? They're like a silverish colour.

now the question is what could be the content of future updates?
Now, that we have got an ability for air cooled engine, as well as an air cooled car, along with torison beams used in sway bars. What could be next?
    More in depth diesel simulation?
Or we could see the Wentward DT60L?

I'd say the next object on game improvement list might most likely be either ropables support of diesel simulation.
Ropes have been something that supposedly was in developement for quite a while (a year ago the D-series or H-series [can't remember] had, or even still has commented out section for ropables in its bed jbeam, I guess either they put it away from their to-do list, or there could have been one of the devs working on it quietly in the background, as far as diesels go, there isn't much in the way of diesel specific simulation stuff, such as issues with starting in the cold or diesel smoke (I know that current black exhaust smoke works quite well for that).

the gravel roads in italy have dark grey tire tracks in them, instead of normal dirt road colored ones. it seems that the dirt around the sand pits on the automation track have also turned dark grey, and probably other maps too. strange.

It already sounds like, drives, like, and has all the components to make a perfect VW Type 1 Beetle. Hopefully someone takes on the challenge. Is that something you're up to?

Yeah noticed that too, but was that really intentional? I thought it was my graphical limitations.

i don't think it's intentional, but it wasn't like that before. so whatever they did to optimize the game or make it look better must have messed something up for us lower-end gamers.

I think that diesel simulation should be priority #1 for new content. All of the diesel ETKs sound like and drive like a gasser.

I think they should focus on AI (for making race and starting working on career (like they said)) car sound, ambiant sound and crash sound like the exhaust when it fall off or tire ect. Oh and when the car is upside down, the slide sound :)

We need a car for (modern) Italy!
Now, we have the Italy map. But we lack a car that reflects modern Italian traffic. In late 2010s, days of the Piccolina are long gone. Old 4X4s like the Hopper are still quite common on Italian roads, but the key word here is quite. Sunburst is another potential candidate, but medium to large-sized petrol-only engines make it a no-no for most Italians.
So, requirements for our hypothetical car:
    Size - compact or smaller
Origin - Italy, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France
    Year - 2005 or newer
    Fuel - diesel engine mandatory
Body style - hatchback, wagon, compactvan
Misc info - beater version mandatory, most Italians don't care about their cars
    Real life examples:

Average condition of a car in Italy, pictured by me:

They should just add a Sunburst with turbodiesel engine options, a 1.5 and a 2.0 I4.

i think the etk 800 is a decent "modern italy car", although it seems like the italy map is much more south than where you would find new ETKs driving around. but an older version of the wagon would fit in nicely I think, especially a 2.0td.

I really hope to see some more body styles and specs for existing cars soon, a lot of people want them and it’ll be a quick way to beef up the roster for career mode. Plus it’ll be nice to compare how different body styles of the same platform compare in game.

The Miramar has the rally parts, for some reason the 90’s Pessima has hillclimb aero, and the one that currently has me intrigued is that new Alitalia skin for the Bolide. It’s the only skin we got in this past update that isn’t used on an official config. It was probably added just as an alternative Bolide GTR skin, but I can dream...

And another bodystyle then, since Italians prefer two-box cars.
It is way too large, powerful and big-engined.
Have you ever been to Italy? A Passat looks like a Roadmaster in Italian traffic.

Guys, I mean, it's Italy... not some remote abandoned village in the Andes...

Vehicles like the ETK 800 series would be right at home in Italy - first export market for Mercedes and BMW, just sayin'...

Italy map also offers a wide variety of settings. While coastal areas feel like southern/mediterranean locations, in terms of architecture, vegetation and altitude old urban areas like Castelletto and Città Vecchia look much closer to the Northern Lakes region in Lombardy, at the foothills of the Italian Alps.

Bird's-eye view of Como, on the lake, for example:

Como is definitely not in the south...

Traffic in Como, October 2015. Among the cars, a Toyota Avensis wagon, an Audi A4 Avant B6 and a BMW 5-Series E60:

I think the mix of southern and northern styles was a not-that-well-advised attempt to give the map an "Anywhere, Italy" vibe, rather that pointing at a specific location.
