Hi everyone. I'm going to start off by saying that the new Italy map is amazing, and I enjoy playing on it, but with it's release I have noticed a few issues. A few things that annoy me are that some cars can't fit EU plates, have properly colored turn signals, and don't have metric options for gauges. The ETKs are the only vehicles that have these features that make the game feel very immersive. Another thing I would like to add is that some of the cars have 5 mph safety bumpers, while Euro-spec ones wouldn't. Thank you for reading!
Older Pessima is an international model, too, since it has orange signals, fender blinkers and a wide rear license plate slot.
ETK i-Series and all japanese vehicles shall all get EU-spec variants. American vehicles on the other hand shall not, as most of these wouldn't have been exported officially.
I think atleast these vehicles need european versions: 200BX, Bolide, Covet, ETK I-series, Pessimas, Sunburst.
I agree, thats I what I was thinking. The American cars don't even fit on Italy's streets anyways so nobody would buy them.
The sheer amount of american grey imports on the italian sole would probably surprise you... Fun fact: italian-style plate design currently available for square plates on american vehicles is exactly the type of plate grey imports would get here.
Yeah, I have heard that people privately import them. All of the American vehicles in the game would be grey imports imo, unless we get a compact American car like the Dodge Neon (which they sold internationally as a Chrysler).
Yes, all Pentastar products sold in Europe (before the short-lived attempt by Daimler at establishing Dodge as a separate brand here too) were sold as Chryslers, even the Viper. We also had some curious hybrids, like the Chrysler Vision, an Eagle Vision with New Yorker interior, fittings and rims, or the Chrysler Voyager, a Plymouth Voyager, sold as a Chrysler, with Dodge Caravan "crosshair" grille...
The one car that sticks out to me as totally wrong is the Bolide as it is a mashup of parts for different markets. It has Euro-spec bumpers but Imperial gauges. In reality it should have black plastic bumper guards for US-spec cars to comply with the 5 mph bumper regulations. I love how the Bolide drives, but it triggers me to use it because of these regulatory trim issues.
Oh yes please! I want to accutaly be able to know fast those american gasguzzlers go besides converting from Slows per hour.
Agreed, though I might lump the H-Series in the Euro-spec lineup, too. It seems to take a lot dimensionally and mechanically from the American-only Econoline, but the beveled hood is reminiscent of the Mk I and Mk II Transit. So stylistically, it could stand in for a European-friendly multinational vehicle (a bit like what the modern Transit is built to accomplish; available to both markets). And also I'd probably consider a Euro-spec version worthy because, without it, the only Euro-friendly utility vehicle would be the Pigeon.* *All of the above is personal opinion, not indicative of any actual official developments or lore.
