I hope the next update focuses heavily on AI, currently the game feels dead, there’s no real competition to make things interesting, the AI is not smart enough yet to avoid obstacles or chase effectively without spinning out or crashing. Processors are catching up with multi core options, soon 6 core will be mainstream, and 8 and 16 core not too far behind in being affordable, a 5 car race with smart AI would be fantastic
Since this seems relevant, I’m going to go through the engine options of various german sedans. It honestly depends on what kind of influence the I series takes more: the E28 or W124. The E28 is what forms the rear, but the interior is pure Mercedes. I’m going to speculate the 2000 is an i6, while there will be an “1800” with a 1788cc i4. It will be a very basic spec meant for families and company cars. We may even see a small V8 in the future as well, along the lines of a 420e/540i e34. --- Post updated --- Oh yeah, and a 2.3l diesel i4 or i6. Merry Christmas, everyone!
I think that if the 2000 was an I6, we would already have one, and that the V8 is rather unlikely with the perfromance model having a turbo 2.4 I6. And the diesel is likely gonna be 2.0 I4, 2.4/2.5 or 3.0 I6.
Wow Jorge, I thought the same, converting the Piccolina into a Seiscientos Hahahahaha. However, i don´t have the abilities to do it properly You'll do it great! PS: Don´t forget about the "baca" HAHAHAHA
Oh yeah, and a 2.3l diesel It’s not out of the question. The e30 was built with a 2.5 i6 while the M3 was built with a 2.3l i4.
There should be a simple "race" AI mode in which it's basically the flee mode, which switches to "chase" when you overtake it and it would attempt to overtake you as well. I love chasing AI cars around, I just wish that they would not spin out and go in the other direction when I overtake them because of their "flee" mode..
Yup currently they flee and often crash not knowing where to go at intersections, I think what you suggested would work, a dynamic flee chase system, but with avoidance so it doesn't chase to hit you, the goal is to pass you in the current direction. Im sure the Devs will create the appropriate race AI who's goal is to become 1st
what if it something completly absurd like a 5 cylinder audi did make one with 136 hp wich would fit horsepower wise to a 2000 model but the other thing is that they only did it in some special models like the audi 90 and 200 both of wich are either too small or to big
Okay just wondering, since my computer broke in August I couldn’t play Beam, what have I missed? I know about glow city and the autobello/Italy, but are there any teasers or news that I missed? EDIT: Installing Steam on new computer, going to transfer mod files so I can play the new updates!
Two important things would be that the UI is in the works of getting totally overhauled, and Career mode is going to be getting worked on next year.
I want an i5... --- Post updated --- Talking about the unused I-Series badges which apparently originally came out with the car and were for a scrapped config
