Metalic paint does work, sort of... You do get the glitter effect and a littlebit of shine, the main issue is that it applies to the whole material, so for example if I'd do it to the fullsize material, everything used by that material would get it, including frame, plastic mirrors or windshield wipers... basically everything that material uses.
That seems like more of a 'want' than a speculation. Do you have any info that could speculate a new vehicle?
One thing I hope that would be addressed in the future is the floorboard on early BeamNG cars with them being the same color as the body of the car instead a being black and them also lacking sun visors.
It's like I saw a dream where tdev was showing up huge bowl of cooked pasta, it was in ground so you could drive car into it, that was some new feature that made smooth curves of pasta NB possible) and someone on that dream posted "firetruck confirmed". That alone of course not, but then earlier dream was where tdev was thanking everyone left and right from huge success boost of BeamNG during some Steam sale, modders had made some vehicle/feature that was included in game as official content that made such huge hit that BeamNG was highest selling game on Steam. It is obvious that was related to confirmed firetruck, right? Certainly not a sign I need a break in cushioned round room...
Honestly I think it would be amazing if the devs asked some modders if they could reuse and refurbish mods that modders gave up on. I guess the S-Series would qualify, but I have no idea if 99 is done with it. The community could still mod the cars, and release them on the repo. They would be given developer quality attention, and probably new parts, etc. Just what I want, but I don’t think it will happen. Ever
The Checker Marathon had a rear bulge like the Bluebuck but then the Marathon was more of a 1950s design, Mind you the really early 60s were basically a hangover of the late 50s.
Good work stealing my idea kid. https://www.beamng.com/threads/community-picked-modpack.60229/#post-980644 Also the S-Series was not the greatest example. The Gladiator is closer to Dev Quality to the S-Series.
EDIT nevermind didnt mean to copy you- didnt see your thread. call me a liar or whatever- i dont care. I didnt really think the idea was original, just didnt think i would get that kind of a response Sorry my guy. Anyway, I would hope that the next update would contain a smidgen more in terms of engine customizability- just for a bit more depth- but thats probably already been said a bunch of times soo-
I'm speculating a British luxury carmaker (based off Bentley, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin) before the 1.0 release
The Gladiator is not suitable since it is a carbon copy of a real car. And "dev quality" has a broad meaning, for example Legran's interior is lower quality than some mods.
the detail of official vehicles interriors is actually pretty low... Just look at everything around the back seat of any car or at window controlls... in stuff like grand marshal, each passenger can controll each window, and even better! rear passengers can also lock themselves up, but since rear also has the same panel as driver, I assume they can also unlock themselves?
But not rear window locks... Also yes, the rear passengers can sometimes operate rear door locks, but usually driver still has the master lock which overrides both rear doors and windows (child protection reasons) Even my 1996 Megane coupe has rear window lock (in the dumbest place possible, but whatever), and it doesn't even have a normal electric roll down windows in the rear, it has just those weird windows that open to the side.
It was in a post by Tdev here. There's a lot of other things contained in that post - most pertinent being that it was an idea being considered, but there were financial and time constraints are holding the team back. I wouldn't exactly be expecting trollies to appear soon, but it's interesting to know that it was at least thought of.
