Re: General discussion chat I feel like the problem is how a decent number the older members, myself included, word their responses. If we all just though about what we were saying before we said it, the forums would be a much nicer place. A lot of us just give rash, half-assed answers that come off rude and mean (I do it too sometimes). I feel like a large part of the problem lies with us 'veteran' members who have been on the forums for a decent amount of time and are on the forums a lot. We see the same thing over and over and over and over, and it can be frustrating. But it really is sad to see when someone posts a suggestion that has been posted a couple times before and is a really good idea and the community shoots them down and tears them apart, scolding them for not searching. I understand that there are times when you can facepalm and shake your fist at someone who suggested something like multiplayer, but when someone suggests something reasonable and first reply is "FFS does anyone ever search. <insert link to one other thread hear> Use the search bar next time" and their linked thread was from 4 months ago, it's really annoying. All we are doing at that point is turning off the newcomers. Who wants to be a part of a community filled with assholes?

I have just looked at the unreal engine 4 trailer and I must say it looks amazing, this led me to think however, how much time would it take to port beamng on to it, as in my opinion, it has better graphics and seems to have quite a nice editor. also, if any of the devs see this, would unreal engine even work well with beamng? thanks, destroyer

Re: General discussion chat My point was: You guys discussing the "problems" of this board being people that "give rash, half-assed answers" and that it's because of the redundant content and questions and the lack of effort on the part of the new posters and blah blah blah... So maybe I misspoke when I referred to it as a "problem". This sort of communication is "normal" for children... They generally lack maturity and discipline, and the ability to form educated and logical responses without emotional input. So, basically, it's not going to change.
Re: General discussion chat The problem is not whether it's normal or not. Arguing on the internet is very normal. But just because it is normal doesn't mean it isn't a problem. I know it's not going to change, but bringing the problem to the forefront is the first step in at least trying to make it better.

A child is one that cannot take care of themselves, needs constant care from their parents, ie: food, clothing, shelter, transportation, etc. Most, not all, you're correct, but most teenagers rely on their parents. They are called children. I'm not picking fights, I'm expressing my opinions. An adult would know the difference...
Re: General discussion chat No it wouldn't work destroyer as beamng is based on torque3d which is designed especially for soft body physics. If we were to base beamng on unreal engine 4 it would be extremely hard to compile. It might not work altogether.
Re: General discussion chat Actually, BeamNG is running in the Torque3D graphics engine. The video engine has nothing to do with the physics in BeamNG. BeamNG is the physics engine. Drive is the name of the game. Back in the very early vids where it was on cry engine, it wasn't using it for physics. Just graphics.
