I have an MSI force GC20 gaming controller that came with my laptop. The controller worked fine with my laptop, up until the recent update. After the last update, I lost the controller bindings that were standard with the game, and I had to figure out how to configure them manually. This worked slightly. But important features like force feedback in the throttle no longer work. Is there anyway to get the controller bindings that were standard with the game back? I'd greatly appreciate any help.

I don't recall we provide a configuration for that controller with the game:

If you are sure, have you tried pressing the Reset All button? It will load the game's default (or a specific device default, if detected)

I confirm we have never provided default bindings for that device model "MSI force GC20".

It is possible that a different version (or different configuration) of the MSI drivers may have set the device in XBox compatibility mode (or something along the lines), where it may have picked our XBox gamepad default bindings. No trigger vibration would have been enabled for that though, as we don't support that by default.

Alternatively Steam may have injected its own configuration, sometimes the Steam Big Picture mode heavily interferes with how input devices work in games (including BeamNG.drive).

Are you sure you didn't manually configure the device, or downloaded a configuration for it?

Maybe Steam has interfered something and provided some mapping, Steam can sometimes do weird things.

Thanks for the reply, I can confirm that when I purchased the control, I simply plugged it into the laptop, and it worked automatically. I did not download or manually configure anything in order or it to work for the game.

Since we don't bundle any configuration, and you didn't create any configuration, then it's either MSI drivers or Steam that have configured the device, as I mentioned in my previous post:
Check your gaming controller manuals to see if they have some sort of "XBox" mode or similar stuff.
Also check if it's not Steam Big Picture mode creating the configuration, by enabling (not disabling!) all the checkboxes that are mentioned in this FAQ: https://wiki.beamng.com/Steering_wheel_setup#BeamNG.drive_doesn.27t_even_show_my_device_in_Options_.3E_Controls_.3E_Hardware.2C_but_works_fine_in_other_games

Either way, I recommend you configure the controller yourself, rather than rely on these 3rd party modes.
