https://www.computerworld.com/artic...crosoft-raises-white-flag-in-browser-war.html It looks like this is the beginning of the end for Microsoft's browser engines (good riddance too).
To be fair, Microsoft Edge is actually a pretty good browser. It's the IE shadow that haunts users from using it.
Its an ok browser, but it is not as good as Chromium performance-wise (I've tested this). A Chromium based Edge would be awesome as it would eliminate that issue. Plus, it means Microsoft will be contributing to the development of Chromium.
I think i'll miss it actually, edge has such good scroll performance compared to the norm for chrome etc. Very noticeable on touch screen low end machines, as they have weak CPUs and the touch screen needs 60 fps to feel nice, Edge works kind of like the safari on iOS, finger on the screen and it'll drop everything and scroll, whereas on Chrome they are like the same priority, so when loading the page, it is struggling to scroll well also.
It had its uses but when compared to other browsers it was just a clone. Using Chromium isn't the first thing Edge borrowed from Google :\
Either way, Microsoft's era of atrocious browser engines is over at last, with Edge being the final nail in the coffin. Now just to wait for Internet Explorer to finish fading into obscurity never to be developed for again. I guess you could call those edge cases.
You could use everything else other than a severely outdated and unsafe browser. Like Firefox, Opera, or Vivaldi.
I use internet explorer because of the cookies. Chrome is just trying to get me to use that browser. Also when I login with chrome on my youtube channel it wants my password same goes for Firefox Opera or Vivaldi
If you want to login to YT wants you to verify your idenitity, not stealing your password. There's no reason Google wants to steal your Google password since they already have it already. (Also, did you checked the "remember me" option while you login?)
