This mod is amazing, but there's one issue I have... They don't quite fit on smaller cars like the covet or piccolina. It'd be nice to have smaller tires for cars like these.
I love this mod, and the chain are a very nice addiction, but their behaviour isn't the best for me. Seems that they increase traction a lot on every surface, leading often to lift the inner wheels or worse ( this happens even in deep snow). Is this due to a limit of the game engine?
It is more of because chains are only visual, addition of grip is caused by manipulating tire friction. Chains would need node beam structure to work properly, but that has some challenges, it should be possible make more realistic chains, but it would take quite bit of skill and effort and even still it might be buggy experience. Someone would need to try to make such though. One way could be to make custom tire beam structure and make bits of chains as paddles of tire, having metal properties for nodes and some different friction parameters, but that means making a tire manually instead of generating automatically.
Ok, thanks for the explanation. I can imagine this is complicated, but increasing the tire traction in general doesn't work. Maybe having the possibility in the game engine to chose variable traction depending on the surface would do the trick.
Those would actually be 66 inch tires. These are the CRD's unbeadlocked rims on the D-Series, they don't fit too well. This is not my picture so do not ask for the wheels.
do you think you could make a tire for the "Trial 1000 17"X18" rear wheel? (I have a Gavril D-series dually and the rims really work with it, but they just need tires XD) a 36"x19 krawler would be PERFECT!!!!
an idea just occurred to me. could you make these small medium and large tired that float and enable you to drive on water? PLS! or tires that just make you float. --- Post updated --- also could you make some wheels or tires for 4-lug only cars. or add the tires to 15x7 wheels
Would like to have regular studded tires which don't have as much grip as your icebreaker tires. For me it does not feel very authentic that a car with a lil higher center of gravity tips over even in low speeds. Polish Roads with the winter version and realistic tires would be a nice experience.
