Initial impressions are good, It feels like the truck takes ramps smoother.Sometimes It may be just me but it feels a tad bit floaty on the landing of jumps. I can't seem to get the new rii lights to work. I cleared cache and everything also set my lighting in the graphics settings to high to rule that out.
fuel burns significantly faster, I thought it was pretty realistic as is but I don't know the mpg these engines get, probably less than 1 mpg if I had to guess, also I can confirm the rii lights aren't working
RII lights work, they are purely glowMapped now, so they simply project no light. If you look closely, you'll see they are lit.
gd 30's headlights have no material other than that i haven't found anything wrong with the new update and I cant wait to see what else can be brought to the mod!
GD 30 is not part of the main mod. All similar skins/skin packs based on the GD body will have to be updated.
About overheating: upon testing, I couldn't reproduce the issues reported. Radiator performs exactly as it used to - no overheating in M2 at redline, 60-70 seconds of uninterrupted donuts before coolant overheats - so please verify ambient temperature in custom maps.
well that's also with the default tune, upping the power of the supercharger also changes the rate at which coolant overheats, didn't know you could change the ambient temperature though
Yes, of course, but radiator shall be enough to cope with the highest state of tune without much problem. Sure you can't push it all that much, but shouldn't overheat that quickly...
@FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL: I have recently noticed that the trucks keep running out of fuel after 30 seconds of a normal race or freestyle!? I timed each truck to see when they would run out of fuel and sure enough they run out of fuel after 30 seconds which doesn't make sense! From my research I found that Monster trucks have enough fuel to last nearly all of racing and a full 2 minute freestyle which seems quite realistic. Can this be fixed because it doesn't seem quite realistic for the truck to run out of fuel after 30 seconds of a simple freestyle? Thanks! PS: Great work on the mod everyone! Keep it up!
I’ll do another test to see if I get different results but I’m pretty sure I’ll get the same results! If I don’t get the same results I’ll let you know! Thanks! --- Post updated --- Alright so I did some more testing and I got slightly better results which were about 1 minute of freestyle and half of a full racing bracket! However I can’t seem to get the best results! Also I really love this mod! Best mod and community in the game, hands down! Keep it up!
Pic below is what I get after 45 seconds, M1, flat out. Running out of fuel in about 9-10 mins. Also, can confirm truck does not overheat any more easily, not even after a few minutes in M2 at redline. Environmental settings in custom maps are probably grossly misconfigured, that's the only explanation I can come up with...
Thanks very much, also I think I have figured out what might have been wrong, for starters, i had the insane radiator on my truck and I also had my game running at the wrong power savings plan, and I cleared my cache three times and it finally started burning less fuel and it lasted the same amount as what is shown in the picture! Thanks so much for the help! I really appreciate it!
I was having the fuel problem too, I'll give this a shot, overheating is from me running max supercharger power so I'm not worried about that since it makes sense that more power makes it run hotter
