i hope we will get a "sensible" version, something close to the TTS or TTS2 in terms of performance (or better), along with a ridiculous config made into some type of track car, drag car, or just insane car in general, with the equivelent of a 500hp ICE.
So I’ve had a bit of a thought. We just got the first air cooled car, we know an electric car and diesel improvements are being worked on, but still no sign of a rotary/wankel... *pouting face* Also, a ton of other types of engines are missing that are actually similar to what’s currently in game (ex: i5, V10, V12). I do hope to at least see those 3 + a rotary before 1.0
Maybe add rear wheel steering because, it has a lot of grip because the weight of the cars batteries or add fatter tires.
1740kg is indeed much better Speed of that car given to it's weight was something mind boggling at 2007, but also acceleration out of the corners and at the corners. Maybe it uses all magic tricks in a book and then some, but some machines seem to perform beyond laws of physics at times.
make the centre of gravity lower by lowering suspension and lifting the front seats and put batteries under there --- Post updated --- we need a Awd performance that can probably do 0-60 in 1.9 seconds
That would be pretty badass, but kinda over the top, although im sure there will be something tesla inspired, maybe even a huge touch screen
The developers said we will get more information on it soon, so there’s not much we can do other than wait
Just to confirm what Croc already said - we did get word about a month ago, this is the exact quote, from this thread: Hopefully this means that we'll be seeing a blogpost similar to this one released before 0.6, where they outline how far Beamng has come, and several areas where they'll be going in the future. Hopefully that will include both an outline of what is being reworked in the scenario system (I'm scared to learn scenario modding now, for fear that it's about to change drastically) as well as an update on other avenues of development like ropables and sharing CPU loads across many objects.
I for one don't care too much about career mode, at least not until the last two promised vehicles are completed. They won't take much research to finish, so I don't see what's holding the team back from getting started. Go for the low-hanging fruits first.
How do you know they haven't started? The devs aren't obliged to tell us everything, I wouldn't mind a surprise release to be honest
I feel like the game needs an American FWD fullsize. The Wendover was meant to imitate the Pontiac Bonneville and is totally different from the LeGran - the only reason people lumped it together with the LeGran was, in my opinion, because it had the wrong door handles (pull vs. push-button) and the same engine options. So whenever anyone says "We should add the Wendover," everyone starts whining "But variety good, bendover is legranddad because door handles, similar cars bad so bendover bad."
Yea, I certainly agree that it is different the the Legran and will add more variety to the game. The only reason I have little hope for it being added is it looks like a block of cheese
They're definitely finishing the Bluebuck (which is great for variety's sake and uses the Barstow's engines) And I'd be surprised if they didn't finish the Wendover. Although it's not that fundamentally different from the LeGran, it is fullsize and reported to have digital gauges and rear air-ride. I'm a big H-body (bonneville-88-98-LeSabre-Electra) fan, and although these never had air ride many similar cars of the time did (Dodge Dynasty/Imperial, FWD Lincoln Continental etc...). They do need a broughamized version with very soft suspension, though. Would fit it well. As for Career mode, I'm unsure of the potential but the devs seem pretty dead-set on it so I hope it succeeds nonetheless. That said I'm worried about lack of game modes, Scenarios have been all but forgotten. At least they need a Derby mode and hopefully a CPU race mode and maybe other driven to destruction style events in the future (perhaps in a career mode)?
It has been confirmed that they are not dead . To repeat again (I have to do this every time somebody mentions the Wendover): The Soliad Wendover and Gavril Bluebuck are slated for release. This has been confirmed by Gabester himself.
Scenario system was not enough for career mode, so it needed reworking, that is what tdev wrote on some post, but I have not paid attention if new scenario system was already implemented or is it coming in future, but might be at least partially reason why it has been quiet among new scenarios department.
Wow, he said that in 2018! I thought the last mention of the Wendover was in 2016. Vmlinuz is a dumbass confirmed not clickbait Also, I've updated the Wendover's page to better reflect what we know about it now. Anyway, I'm wondering whether the Wendover has more in common with the Bonneville, or if it is actually more like a Delta 88. Here's the Wendover: Here is the Bonneville: And here is the Olds: The Wendover shares its overall profile with the H-body in general, but it is less rounded than the Bonneville. The lights most closely resemble those of the Delta 88, not the Bonneville.
