I'm not creating drama, if it seemed that way I am completely happy with your decision. I didn't want to "bring it to the public space", I just figured I might as well not start rumors and give them the whole story
So, basically I forgot how to blender. I'm trying to remake the formula after a more recent model (2013 I think) with some custom touches (and no subsurf), but I can't get anything I'm happy with atm :| (imported from here) (New, better tires that I will use in the one under too) Maybe I should go on with the actual one I got, since I also mapped it, and make another kind of Formula (V2 Ultimate GT MuchoVroom Raceing) later (imported from here) Temp AO Bake to show the mapping.
An officer is waiting for someone to come by. Suddenly a speeder fly's past the officer. The officer activates his cop lights and pulls him over.
I do like the thought process here; "We're going to remove moderator status so you can spend more time developing mods while we spend more time not making slide nodes". Removing their mod status is a mixed bag for me. Glad they can be open with the community again however it still sucks. On top of that; slide nodes should have been sorted out BEFORE the public release and I'm not sure why we don't have them yet. Its castrating Gabester and the modding community. You seem rather eager for them to mod. Mod what? How many vehicles are there that they want to make that use wishbone or leafspring suspension in comparison to MacPherson strut? You'd think with the year long demand that at some point we'd have one of the blogs like "Yep, coded them this weekend. Stay tuned".
You, know, hearing this is just saddening me. We try our best, work our asses off, and still fail to please anyone. I think its impossible to do that really
On that note I still want a classic mini which was trailing arm rear and wishbone front if I recall correctly
*Bold added/edited by me.* I for one am pleased and happy with the progress and game in general. There is no other game like this to my knowledge, and it must take a lot of time for it to be done correctly. I've had experience with devs rushing things and then making it worse, which is horrible and wrong to the consumer. Thats my opinion anyway Edit: I've also been waiting for a few things since i first joined, one being FFB. But I am patient and will wait for however long it takes. But I do see why a lot of people want slide nodes, to have a more diverse vehicle list and proper suspension etc. You cant please everyone with any game in progress, but if you work hard and do things the right way without rushing, you can make a great game that works! Again, this is only my opinion
I agree. Coding a game of this scope would be difficult for any AAA company. What only two coders and two artists have accomplished thus far is amazing.
It's not even the majority, it's a few people (in comparison to the player base/fans). I want slidenodes, i want more mods, but i'm glad that the things already in the game/sim are actually there (Custom parts config on the fly, multiple cars without mass lag, beautiful maps with great detail and little FPS drop, slow motion, etc, etc). I love this game/sim (i really don't know) and i'm willing to support it for A LOT longer before giving up on it due to some limitations. Just need to be patient, that's all.
Hey, they're your poles, you messed up Idk what should replace them :| Wood poles? Nothing? Maybe some stands..
yeah, same here, unlike what seems like quite a few people in the community, i get that the dev's have lives, and that there are only 2 coders, and that they are not an AAA studio
I'm aware those are the one I made, but now that I look at them from an external perspective, I gotta say that have nothing to do with the scenery. Maybe just discard them?
Sh** happens I guess Lol, he did not understand the situation fully, you guys are working on way more behind the scenes I think everything in the Race update is worth the wait. Do keep working, it's quite nice what you guys are doing. Entertainment is what this discussion has become now. Not that I wish to imply you guys don't take your work seriously On the other hand, it seems silly to remove mythbuster's mod status... Don't know why you did it.... Eh, I guess it's not worth fighting about it anymore. So, yeah. (If you didn't get it, read the first letter of every paragraph)
Sorry about causing such a fuss. I reckoned I would avoid a fuss by just stating the reason I got un-moderateredrerd, avoiding people from asking, because it seemed like a better choice, but I guess I it wasn't. And no, you can never please anyone. I guess I'll try and just stop posting, or post as little as I can. Please, just stop posting about it...
Can't put the same material as the covet's paint, already tried to do a new material only for the front bumper and then UV...
This is easily my favorite game! Take your time. And remember, you're doing this because you like it, not to please everyone. Just keep digging!
