Hmm...I guess I can see where you're coming from, but it's not my
intention to argue every single issue and make anyone look bad.

I could be a bit less anal I guess...you've made a good point here
and I'm going to set the example by removing the immature
    content from my signature. :)

HINT: They're listed by architectural generation and then performance within the generation. I guarantee you that the 690, 680, 670 660(ti) and 590 smack at the bottom sitting under that 750 would eat it for breakfast.

EDIT: The 650 ti BOOST wants a slice of the 750, too. I just checked.

Ah.......yes, it seems you are correct.

I misunderstood the chart, my bad.

    Thank you!

See? It's not so hard to admit when you're wrong! ;)

That's just not true anymore and it hasn't been true for years. The only thing in Dell desktops that have been proprietary in the past 5-7 years have been the motherboards. They used specific layouts (non ATX/E-ATX/mini ATX), but all the connectors in the case (data/power connectors) have been standard. Nowadays Dell even uses standard ATX motherboards (Dell XPS 8700 for example). The other thing Dell has done in the past were differently wired ATX power connectors (over 10 years ago), and the odd connector on the hard drives in the Inspiron 6000 laptops (which was just a removable adapter)

Well, that's entirely possible. Every Dell desktop I've touched has been at least ten years old. It's still not a good idea to re-use an OEM case for a custom build in most cases.

My 2006 era Dimension 8400 was completely standard ATX (though the case had zero wiggle room beyond the width of the expansion slots) with the exception of the front IO umbilicals, which connected via a proprietary ribbon cable to the motherboard.

EDIT: Dell also had a ducted cooling solution for the CPU (because of the fact the case's only front vent was probably 3 cm[SUP]2[/SUP]) that may have been difficult to work around if the mobo was changed.

Yeah, stuff like that is what I'm talking about. My HP pavilion desktop had proprietary motherboard connections for the front USB ports. Also another HP slim desktop we had has an ass ton of ductwork made specifically for that configuration.

give me an budget and list of parts taht you already got and i can make you best shopping cart for that price in 2 mins.

and for playing beamng maps, specially some custom maps, it might get pretty rough on 750. I got 770 with i5-4670k @ 4.0ghz and im still randomly getting 10-20 fps on some larger maps, though im playing on maxed setting :p , still that doesnt mean that 750 will run these huge and well detailed maps on lower settings neither. and im saying this by own 6 years experience as pc software engineer.
