I was just curious, last I remember the involved parties were discussing it then everyone just forgot about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was hoping we would get a T-Series mounted crane if that went through since it would fit the construction theme and could reuse some of the code.

I know the talk of the ESBR are dead now, but I just need to add
with the development of electric drivetrains, it would be quite cool to see something similar to KDD (Koinesegg Direct Drive), which is installed in the Koinesegg Regera. It uses a hybrid drivetrain to deliver immediate torque with out gears. I personally don't think this is too far fetched
and I'm not demanding it, just speculating it

One small thing I’d like to get added is a tow hitch for the Wentward. It’d love to tow something with it from time to time

So BeamNG will officially stop supporting DirectX10, its about time they chose to move forward in this case, this might lead to graphical improvements not possible before if they needed to consider older cards!

Maybe they'll finally implement Pabst Blue Ribbon physics-based rendering?

Any DX10 hardware is probably too weak to run game at decent rate anyway, so I think it is not affecting many players at least for very long as any DX10 hardware is probably going to need an upgrade pretty soon.

I don't really see PBR as big thing, rF2 now uses that and it does not look much different, might be different inside, but not sure if really is worth it.

Well, it's the end of an era for a portion of the player base. I wonder if it will be possible for talented modders to bridge the gap, bringing new vehicles into the old graphics format.

In any case, kudos to the dev team for making an announcement of this caliber in the way it deserved to be made, well in advance of the next update and in a big, hard-to-miss devblog post. Mention in the microblogs and 0.15 feedback thread might also be a wise decision - for the sake of all parties involved we don't want any of the affected players left in the dark when the next update rolls around.

I'd encourage everybody to check their specs today and start making plans based on the results now - better to know now than later.

Hopefully 11 stays in use for a while. It should.

Sorry to bring up the ESBR but what if it is like the original Tesla roadster and is in fact a new brand on the same basic platform?
    Just an idea

Hello all! While looking through some old threads, I happened to stumble across this picture:

    (Taken from here)
Seemingly just an early development screenshot, right? Focus on the bridge and landscape. It doesn't look familiar to any map in BeamNG (and before any of you dismiss this as just DRI, it didn't appear there either). This means that this picture was taken in some sort of unreleased map that was given up on in early development (keep in mind, this pic was taken in 2012). Does this mean that's there's another unfinished map that no one knows about?

I think pbr makes a big difference. I only changed the paint shaders all the other materials were always pbr.

Pbr also makes metallic paint possible which isn't currently possible in beamng.

If anybody's looking for a more in depth understanding of pbr materials these videos are pretty good.

Wasn’t DX10 like as old as Windows 7? Because I remember seeing a DX10 Preview option in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. And that came out in 2006!
