Just now saw this thread, never knew about it, but recently started a project of mine with the moonhawk. Have never made any mods before and am new to this community. Always been savvy with modeling so that should be the easy part, never touched jbeams though. One of my favorite things to do in Beamng is drag racing and configurating various setups according to certain classes, and I'd always kept my eye out for serious drag themed mods, so naturally I started to explore making my own. It is a modified moonhawk that I am building to PROMOD spec. Most everything oon it will be a custom model by the time I'm done, minus a modified body shell.
Alrighty this is what we're looking like after the end of the day. I would like to get into Jbeam-ing it myself when the time comes, very much down the road, but I feel like it will be difficult to tackle. Anyone out there who has experience or savvy on the coding side of things and is willing to help me wrap my head around and get the hang of it, would be oh so very helpful and appreciated. For anyone interested in doing the aformentioned / following mod development, send a PM my way (I have a discord to document progress, too early to make a thread IMO).
Whoa, is this jbeamed from scratch? ot: I decided to do some more to the back so it doesnt look so plain. It looks more like a 90s Holden Ute now!
no, its a blender model that i replaced onto roamer.dae file, Dont know what i did wrong though, if you have any ideas i can send u file
From what I see, it just looks like your mesh is in the wrong place, or you forgot to do Crtl+A before exporting.
Yeah I used to use the distance timer app, however it currently doesn't work. Staging tree on WC USA works great though. I thought about modding that map to have a low friction area for a proper burnout box. UNFORTUNATELY however my pc decided to completely brick itself yesterday. Hard drive should be alright though and I had a new workstation planned anyway, so no progress will be made until I get my new one built and running.
