On Hold 1995 Ibishu Kashira (Gen 2) 3.1.2

Hello everyone! I apologize for taking so long to post a progress update, but there's a lot of stuff that's either still a work in progress, or is harder to show like jbeam improvements. I've also been helping with a few other super cool projects, so stay tuned for that...

One of the biggest improvements has been a complete revamp of the sliding door system. It's still a work in progress, but this is how it looks so far:

The spacing from the car still isn't great, but it's at least much better. I'll try to improve that a bit more as I finalize it.

Well, if I had to guess (with my terrible sense of time), I'd probably say late April to early May. It really depends on how quickly I can get the interior and skin support and stuff done.

 

Looking good! I was going to comment on how fast the door closes, but then I remembered how much force it takes to close the door on my dad's '00 Mazda MPV, lol...

I love the new sliding door, are you going to make the three bits that connect the door to the rail tracks and will the older doors still be available?
I ask as I think it gives an older feel like the old Honda Odyssey and Mazda MPV.

 

been stated before, the older variant will probably be a separate file offered in this thread and the new one will be a repo thing

 

Once she updates the Kashira to this new one, you could still download the old mod files in here if you want to play with them again.

yeah i know, some places are on this side of the equator and some places are warmer than others but to me the idea of summer in February just hurts my head (not literally)

While I was browsing around on the forms logged out, I saw the Kashira and instantly thought of the Honda Stream mixed with the Mazda MPV and basically had a Brain Blast so I just had to log back in and tell the whole world this
