Oh okay, well you 1)don't need to stop me from answering his question and 2)don't people want there mods to be downloaded? why are you against it lasting longer. Oh, and I did read the thread. maybe you should read it because it's a mod, not a solved problem. Thanks in advance.
Well I'm sorry I don't look at every comment as I go down. Plus, whats so wrong wiht getting this guy more downloads? you're just so against me right now.
Please stop bumping threads. Just because it's a mod doesn't mean people absolutely want to see it. It can get annoying when an old thread suddenly appears in the recent. Either way, the mod probably won't get updated for a while. No reason to talk here until the original person speaks up.
Honestly I don't find it annoying but I can see how other could find it annoying. Thanks for that kind explanation
Downloads aren't really something they need. It's not like they get paid for it. And besides, I'm not against you, I'm against you bumping the threads without anything constructive to say.
If the mod author hasn't done anything with this in a while, its most likely dead. Please refrain from bumping threads, as there is no point if it hasn't been talked about constructively for a while.
bumping means talking about something that has nothing to do with the mod. i was talking about the mod.
I am back after being away from BeamNG modding for a while. First off, I just want to thank everyone for all the downloads and support of this mod. I have been doing more with BeamNG recently because I have more free time since this past summer than I did before, and I also finally upgraded to a new gaming PC from my 10 year old gaming computer that has an Intel core2 exreme. Anyway, some work has occured on the BTR, including updating to the new drivetrain and wheels and tires about a year ago and some other improvements and optimizations to the jbeam more recently. (just look at that drivetrain simulation ) I do have big plans for the mod, including possibly making a new 3d model with intentions of getting it onto the mod repo eventually, but I'll see how that goes, and also some other cool plans that I will not reveal yet. My inspiration for working on mods is kind of sporadic, so I may work on other things too. That means that I don't have any prediction of when an update might come for this, so please be patient .
That's a lot of differentials. How about putting an H-drive in the BTR-80. use only 1 center differential, and all left wheels rotate at the same speed all right wheels rotate at the same speed
Yeah, the BTR should use this system, although it'll still require the same number of differentials because beam doesn't really support diffs with multiple outputs.
That would be nice and simple, but that's not how the drivetrain is set up in a BTR, and like Capkirk said, there are a lot of differentials required regardless. My drivetrain setup is as close to the real thing as I could get with the new BeamNG drivetrain (to my knowledge anyway) at the time that I set it up about a year ago (that was an old pic)
