Hey everyone, I just wanted to make a post about suspension tuning for Automation ported cars for Beam & my own experience with it. There are tons of great Automation mods available now but one trend I've noticed in almost every vehicle which is super soft / bouncy suspension & stiff sway bars.
    -
The sway bars for Automation cars are over powered in general and there's not much that can be done besides putting them to their lowest settings, but for the vehicle suspension I don't know if many people realize how Automation's suspension ends up being way softer in Beam than it shows on the graph in the game. I've seen so many vehicles that just have jello for a suspension & bottom out over almost any bump.
    -
I'm sure lots of other people do it, but what I do is import my car and test the suspension in a variety of ways and then go back into Automation to tune it more. 99% of the time Automation will say that the springs & dampers of my cars are "too stiff" but as soon as it gets into BeamNG it's usually almost perfect or closely replicates BeamNG's stock vehicle suspensions.
    -
Just curious how many people have noticed this, maybe they'll update Automation in the future to make the graph more accurate for car suspensions.

Also wrong suspension on wrong car
Like a sedan with Leaf springs are very common
    For newbies:
    Try watch official automation tutorial
Soild axles if for pickups, heavy offroad,n stuff
Dont put it on your freaking hatch!

    Beside suspensions,Engines also a problem
As most newbies wont watch tutorials
Exaple of stupidly tuned engines are created by 'mikni' by @Lettice123
Most of his engine has very low Rpm (2K rpm WTH) and wrong parts(ex meacanical injection in2010s car )

And some people make really bad desigins seems just done it around 10minutes!
    Advice for beginers:
Take more time and effort at least 1-2hours
-refrence from multiple irl cars also compare yours and irl cars whats missing from yours
-make a sketch on a paper before you make it on automation
-try diferent styles, fixtures, it wont hurt
    -practice your desigin on paper
By 1 month you can clearly see improvments

    Thats for now

You could not be more correct! And then for some reason they post these types of cars. If your thinking about posting your car, ask yourself one question. Will downloading this benefit anyone else's game? If the answer is no, forget it and try something different. In other words post something that you can be proud of! Not literally saying how terrible your own car is in its mod description. People that post shit cars are not just hurting themselves, they are hurting the entire Automation repository.

Yeah I agree for the most part unless the vehicle is a pre-1980s American car because Americans used to love putting those solid rear axle leaf spring suspensions on anything lol.

    Totaly agree
Out of hundred cars i made in automation only less than 30 where uploaded
Out of 3k cars in the repo less than half of them was good quality and only less than half of those was really great ones
And i know if some one just bought AM he/she want to upload them direcly and i know how its feels but there is so many people just left days after it sometime RIGHT AFTER UPLOADED! Idk why?.
Worst case? overpround with thier ugly car and says its good, more worse case?. Says the others ugly but himself was worse(i think i see this kind of thing in my early days in this forum)
You need to look at your owns, see whats it lacks and some people just niot taking advices from the others, even they said it multiple times and realy do it because they want to help,
    But ignored.

    Motivation for all:
If you like things you'ev started dont just left it because you cant get what you excpeted, keep trying, there is no such natural talent, is about how many excperience you learn,
Litle about me ,im 14 rignt now, some of you may not believe it, but thats true, i started automation around late 2015-early 2016 if i not wrong, the good ol kee times.
Even the current laptop i use is not capable to run beamng,(automation maxed at 20fps!) at least ive share my creations so others can enjoy, and telling what ive been learn.
I will keep looking for more.
And one of my faults is not socialize and watching tutorials.
The forum is a good place for learning more and taking advices
Its our job as experienced players to giving advices and important reviews for beginers.
And dont affraid to make a tread for your company, cuz u will learn more.
You can do it if you think you can
    Trust me.

    Thats for now
