i'm playing Beamng drive with logitech dfgt i love driving physics very much but i wonder Is there a plan to improve the driving physics? Will there be an arrangement for the drift? I would be very glad if the friends share their thoughts and devs infos I am grateful to the developer
I think he wants drifting to be easier. Not saying any of us have, but I doubt drifting in real life is easy. The main complaint I’ve seen in the forums is FFB affecting drifting. If the driving physics are realistic, the drifting physics should be realistic.
Git Gud Physics arent perfect for sure, but its the closest thing you will get to irl physics in a car simulator. Practice. thats all.
Driving physics is spectacular (wonder if more could be improved) I'm not sure of the physics for drift maybe i'm wrong
What are you comparing this game’s drifting to? The best thing to compare to is real life as far as I know
yes mate real life i am not comparing other games or sims i think real life drift not as hard as Beamng drift maybe i am wrong
You are partially right, as it is harder to drive in BeamNG.drive because you can't move the camera in the same way you can move your head and you also cannot feel the forces acting on the car. Those are not problems that can be fixed by anything other than support for full VR sim rigs that move.
Drifting definitely will be easier to do once they implement tire wear/temperature, as currently the tires have a constant grip value that doesn't change no matter how much you torture them
This is probably the biggest thing, but good eyes and a good setup can probably get rid of the issue.
Yeah, having a racing wheel and a good monitor help a lot, but they can never compensate for sensing g-forces.
i think th ebiggest difference is that the wheel can move on its own irl. you can let it spin and do its own stuff but im beamng letting go of it will just make ait straigten the wehel
If you set up your force feedback correctly then it doesn't do that. I had to uncheck the centering spring box in my wheel's drivers (which is enabled by default) and tuned it properly. My setup works the same as real life, but unfortunately broke because Logitech built the DFGT out of cheap plastics I fixed it but it broke again
