This 1937 Ford truck was modeled in about 12 hours yesterday as a modeling exercise since I haven't modeled anything since January (I've been working on finishing up the Cosmo.) I kinda like this particular model year though, so I'm going to redo this to a much higher quality level now that I'm warmed up.
I bought 3 little rc monster trucks from five below. I am going to try modding them to be faster. also been working on mobile robotics for SkillsUSA I still need to get my mom to order the rest of the parts for my 3D printed 1/12th-ish scale rc monster truck
3d printer stopped printing today. the extruder is clogged with a broken piece of filament. being a flashforge finder, i had to disassemble the entire extruder assembly to get to what i needed. couldn't get the filament out after a couple of hours of trying and prying. i then decided to plug some stuff in and preheat the hot end to get it soft enough to pull out, but after some sparks, smoke, and fumes, i quickly unplugged it and decided to try again another day. hopefully my board is okay, and until i can assemble it (apparently i lost some screws lol) and unglog it, RIP to the finder.
yup, normally i'd be in a state of hopeless disappointment, but i did have to manually turn the machine off (it was still functioning at the moment) and the replacement board is only around $15.00 on aliexpress. i will give it another try though soon and see what's up.
Alright, I figured out how to get stuck X360 disc trays open. Now for a more important question, as I now have two used X360s and need to sell one. HOW DO I GET FRIKKIN SHARPIE OFF THIS THING!
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser has gotten Sharpie off everything I have tried it on. Make sure to try it on the inside of the case first to be sure that it won't make the finish erode or anything bad happen.
Forgot to post the making of: 16 tires were killed that morning, each one lasting around 5-10 minutes at first (cooldown laps included), but double or more later on, with better tire temperature management. Would certainly prefer it if rubber temp simulation didn't exist there
Im currently not sure if i should keep my mk4 golf or sell it and get something diffrent or if i should keep it and fix everything that is broken? Fixing it would cost 1700 euro.
