And this is probably the best way, because usually when you do a public beta release, only like 1-2 people say "it broke" & that's it, where with private testers they'll tell you the stuff you need to know
I get it that people want new cars as soon as possible, but I’m getting a little tired of the question “when will it be released” or “can I get an early beta?”.... It will be published when it’s finished. It will not get an early beta release. Beta test will be done in private by people I choose/ask myself. Please don’t ask to be a beta tester. Regarding the project: it’s still WIP and any progress will be posted here
After spending a few hours today cleaning up the model and importing it into BeamNG again, I have to say I'm very happy with how it looks right now. Far from finished, but wanted to share some pics with you guys. Structure under the bumpers is more realistic now, only the underside of the car has yet to receive any detail.
do the brake calipers change colour with the car? they look blue on the blue car. Also, i have to say the front looks very smooth and realistic now
This looks absolutely amazing! I've honestly never been a fan of the MK2 Focus, I've always preferred the Mk1 but nevertheless this mod looks very good and I wish you the best of look.
Optics and engine bay needs some texturing work, but it looks very promising. Try learning Substance Painter-it`s very useful for texturing-you can draw your own textures. Good luck on this project!
Hello, Iv seen the pics and they are great! And I looked very close at it and noticed very little stuff but could you possibly add a gas cap? Do the Head/Tail lights work that's about it and after that need some texturing and I would think it will be like a BEAMNG DRIVE owner made it Good luck and it looks great so far!
Substance Painter looks superb, but it's too expensive for my liking. I do this modding in my spare time, so I'm not very keen to spend that much €€€ on a program just to create some textures. That said, the Focus is certainly going to receive proper textures in the future, but that's just something I haven't looked into enough yet. Gas cap is already there (see attached pictures). The lights do not work at the moment, as it hasn't got any glowmaps yet and all the other stuff regarding lighting etc. still has to be made. Textures for the entire car will be made in the future So far I've managed to add the ST bumpers and skirts from the original model (from www.dmi-3d.net). I just added some nice ETK wheels because I haven't made the ST wheels yet. Also don't mind the weird positioning of the license plates - this will be fixed. --- Post updated --- Also adding more detail (coolant hoses) to the engine bay.
