    Hello everyone !

I want just change beams in file jbeamn trunk, for blocked trunk close. I would like the trunk to remain closed during a colission, I try to change the values deform, but the trunk always opens with big crash. I want to do this on the car ETK.

it's possible ? Thank you very much guys.

So, when it comes to Doors, Trunks, Hoods, even fenders etc, they have beams that "attach" them to the rest of the car. With doors/hoods, things with hinges, if you go into their corresponding .jbeam file, and "ctrl+F" and find the values for "Hinge" and "Latch", just bump those numbers up...the latch value on the trunk on the ETK is very low, like 4500...I bumped that up to about 15 or 20,000, and I generally prefer to make the "hinges" even a little higher, say 25,000. If you look in Fender jbeam files, for example, if you "Find" the values for "attach", they are the same thing, where the values are very low so the fender can be ripped off easier. When you strengthen them, they stay attached after heavier collisions. But it's very simple, just find the "hinge", "latch", and "attach" (depending on the item in question) and increase the beamDeform and beamStrength values. Also, keep in mind, for stability's sake, you want the deform value LESS THAN the strength value. If that is wrong, and strength is less than deform, it creates issues with stability and glitchy-ness. Hope that helps :)
