Introducing: Project Financial Mistake I picked this truck up at auction for $850, a D-15, manual V8 with a locking rear diff. Apparently, it was an old army truck that served for 10 years before being retired in 2004. It was sold as military surplus in 2005, used as a plow truck up north somewhere for a few years, and then had been sitting for 7 years. It runs okay, the brakes are a little scary, and it's rusty, but mostly surface rust. I also found a house, finally, that I believe is just down the street from @Cory5503 .
My horrible criminal of a brother died a few days ago, after he t-boned a cop at over 100 miles per hour.
Nice, it's cool to meet more people out here in Belasco! *Redeems winning lottery ticket at gas station* *People start yelling and taking my picture* *Gets handed a big check made out to me for $1,000,000* *Drives to bank* *Cashes check out* *Drives home* Wow, what do I even buy first?
Mission Get Brakelights: Complete Went down to the junkyard and picked these up for 10 bucks apiece. Now the truck's actually road legal. --- Post updated --- Visited one of my old TurboBurgers.
Alright, so I haven't even spent a dime of my newfound wealth yet, which is extremely unusual for me. However, I plan on using it to start up my own business of building and selling (and probably keeping some) custom cars. I made my first purchase for the business with it today: An ETK 3000i, super clean with low miles. It's also a manual so that's a plus. I plan on turning it into a nice little track/street car in the near future. --- Post updated --- -Me working on the ETK in my garage- Man, I really should get a shop if I'm going to continue these builds. -Two months later- It's finally finished! It's really fun to drive and I want to keep it, although I should sell it. I took it to a shop in downtown Belasco and had it dyno tuned. It made around 420 to the wheels and will easily break the 255 slicks free in second gear. It will be up on the Selling Cars website (thread) very shortly. Also, I took it to the drag strip here in Belasco and put down a couple low- to mid-11 second passes.
Business has been good! Since we've moved into our new shop, our sales have gone up along with our popularity/ reputation. For the first time in a while were turning a huge profit and getting to keep old parts from the upgraded cars, I keep my semi 'round back and all of my other cars at my new house in Horizon estates. * Notification pops up in your Email account * Your Vehicle is ready! for the inconvenience of the wait time we waxed, polished, and cleaned your H.O.S! Sincerely, Auto Maniacs!
That looks nice, you've inspired me. Which is why (Because of my recent paychecks and lack of self control) I am going to make this Ibishu Pessima into the ultimate track car. Background on it first. It was $500, missing the front brakes, grill, and a bunch of other stuff. It goes around corners like a boat, and brakes like crap. So the first thing I have to do is fix it up.
It has the power, now it needs the looks. --- Post updated --- Well now that I have my track car, I think its about time to get a nice daily driver.
Saw a 3000i for sale at the old auto dealer, I guess someone bought the place. I must say, the car does seem a little familiar.
*Turns around and finds a old state Patrol behind me. *Remembers the old state Patrol car "So... I see you found your watcher." "My what?!" "Your watcher the Burnside" "Oh" "Anyways I saw you going burnouts in the WC suburban, I'm giving you a chance to control it" "Also the Burnside is watching you in camouflages in traffic." "Great, just great" "One more thing, your is me just to keep an eye on you" *Signs "ok" *Gets into state patrol car *Drives out of redwoods --- Post updated --- As I got to the intersection, the Burnside disguised a limo "Really, a limo" *Drives to the nearby parking lot --- Post updated --- "Ok, really a limo?! Can't you be someth-" *The Burnside CLONED itself "Wait, wut" "Oh yea, for got to tell you that it can clone itself." "Wow, Really?!" --- Post updated --- *The cloned Burnside disguised itself as a state patrol "Great, this is like a Retro escort" "Well, lets get going." *Drives off of the parking lot with the Burnsides behind use. --- Post updated --- *Turned on sirens *Turned into the Suburban area *People are starting to get confused --- Post updated --- Part of the route that we are going through. --- Post updated --- *Got passed @MrCin 's and going to the radio tower
Bought a Gen 1 Kashira to be my beater van, meaning I can sell the W-Series. I'm thinking about selling the GM and buying a gen 2 Kashira as my daily.
*Arrived at the radio tower *Burnside's clone disappeared OK, now that a view! *Takes picture of the view --- Post updated --- "I see you like taking pictures" "Well yea, but I didn't have the time take one" "Do what you do" *Burnside disguised as a Alpine white wagon *Drives down the radio tower "Well, he going somewhere" --- Post updated --- (Character swap) The Burnside is going somewhere, somewhere to interact with people. (You going to say, why are acting like a character that isn't... well... human) (Also this is my first time take a pic with traffic tool in RP) --- Post updated --- *The Burnside decided to take a shortcut. *Then the Burnside sideswipe a Bolide as he comes out of the short cut. *Then a ETK was blocking the road, cuz of a broken string wheel. *The Burnside avoids it with ease. --- Post updated --- *The Burnside is at the docks *It disguised itself as a Gavil D1 and practices a few laps around the docks. Unfortunately, he undertook a turn too hard and crashed into three parked cars. The Burnside drives of here quickly, without knowing that he crashed into someone shop (@Tuner from America).
(Character swap) Ok, I think that is enough of taking pictures. *Gets into state patrol Barstow *Drives down the trail to the road. *At the same time a Beamcon van is coming up the trail for an inspection on the radio tower.
Paid a few guys $750 to redo the paint, I'm really happy with it. A sharp looking truck, if I do say so myself.
