That would be awesome, although it would really only be beneficial to people with wheels and pedals. I could be different than the average person, but I almost never actually use anything but full throttle on my gamepad. I use the analogue mainly for steering and braking. Not discrediting your idea, I really like it actually.

Agreed, but it is a good idea

    ride height options
    Artificial sound in the cabin
    different suspension (in different modes)
    better throttle response
special Icon on screen or gauge display saying "Sport,Sport+,Eco,Eco+

    For ETK and Hirochi

I see people bringing up LR’s Terrain Control system, but we don’t have a good application for it.

Modern cars switch high beam on and off automatically, some even turn with steering and I would not be surprised that different driving mode changes how lights work, if not now, maybe in future.

Porsche has PDLS plus, which adjust beam range with speed and turns into corners with steering, I don't know if that is connected to sport mode, which does all sorts of things, even changes how rear axle steering operates, but I could think how sport mode could change for example light intensity and adjustment curves, distances to switch high beam to low beam etc.

There was some things about sport mode:
    https://www.porsche.com/usa/models/panamera/panamera-models/drive-chassis/sport-mode/
    https://www.porsche.com/usa/models/...bo-models/drive-chassis/sport-chrono-package/

There was things about PDLS, very small and vague description:
    https://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/911-targa-4-models/comfort/porsche-dynamic-light-system-pdls/

Here actually is manual page of sport mode changes and it indicates that lights are adjusted differently in sport mode:
    http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/2017-cayenne-manual/16/278/SPORT-and-SPORT-PLUS-Mode

You might want to read from link above, but for lazy ones quote from above link:

You already can change the suspension height and adjust the damp rates

What my car does with the driving modes is the following:
Eco slower engine response not as responsive steering normal differential and normal suspension
Comfort: comfort suspension, steering and normal differential as well as normal throttle response
    Normal: Everything in normal
Sport same as normal but with sport it also changes light depending on mode as well as the background of the active info display if needed i could take pictures of the diffrent modes and what else it changes as i dont know everything of the top of my head

what about exhaust valves in sport mode, I imagine it would be quite easy to mess with the settings in the sound config, as well as things like the afterfire coefficient.

That would most likely requure whole engine system redo, cause right now the number of cylinders doesn't actually matter at all, with current setup you'd have to have basically a 2nd engine with separate torque curve and so on + a system which would switch between the 2.

What I really would like to see is adaptive suspension/damping, gearbox and steering wheel weight. Especially some more in depth around gearbox then just D or S mode. For example a economy mode that will always try to keep low RPM unless being put at 100% power.

I highly doubt the headlight turning is connected to any driving mode. The xenon headlights on both my 02 audi a6 and 04 audi a6 steer with the car. It would be a nice feature to see, but not related to driving modes.

The thing is throttle lag does not improve fuel efficiency even IRL.
If the driver still drive like a car without lag the car will take more time to accelerate to economy cruising speed, saving no fuel in the entire process.
If the driver press throttle pedal more aggressively to "compensate" the car may accelerate too much, leading to unnecessary brake, wasting fuel.
When I drave a modern Volkswagen Passat I have to floor it for half a second then reduce throttle to desired level, this stressed my mind and in the long run, increase the risk of fatigue driving,

The throttle lag is made for fuel consumption testing because the test is strap the car to a dynamometer and use a computer to press the pedal. The lag leads to the result looks better since the testing computer throttle movement is pre programed. And better result means less tax.. you get the picture.

What I also would really love to see is adjustment in ride height, especially if there would be more modern utility vehicles or luxury vehicles on air suspension. Economy mode will lower the ride height, or above certain speeds, and for example also an off road mode with higher ground clearance smoother throttle response.

Also to add to my earlier post also a thing that Alfa Romeo does on there ''DNA'' ride mode selector is change the braking sensitivity.
