I'd rather buy merchandise over DLC, I'd happily pay for some 3D printer friendly, detailed model kits in like 1/24 or 1/18 scale
I don't think we'll be getting the UI updates anytime soon. Last we heard, it was still pretty early in development and we all know how long things can take for this game. I'd be shocked if we got the UI before the fall of this year.
Speaking of toy cars, they should make them like those Hotwheels that you can change parts. So for example, you can change the huge bumpers of a base V8 Moonhawk to the colored bumpers of the Elite Custom and change the hood to the Drag Blower and so on.
Now that’s one of the gratest ideas for BeamNG. You mean those self-assembly diecast-metal-cars, right? 1:24 or at least 1:35 would be great.
Not that, I mean the ones that Hot Wheels maked.. I had 2 of them but I forgot the name... Btw, the cars are plastic.a (FOUND IT! They're called Custom Motors)
I don't mean full UI replacement. I just assume the devs are trying to move everything they can over to the new UI engine, including the world editor and possible some debug apps and menus. The new game UI is probably still a long way away. And I also forgot the SBRe, that will most likely be coming, possibly with TC and ESC improvements.
With the UI questions, they are actively hiring a new UI dev so I doubt we will get any crazy changes in the next few updates, maybe more performance updates because they seem to keeping the same AngularJS framework.
New video in Development Media https://www.beamng.com/threads/development-media.24313/page-3 (I'm getting an error when trying to get the link to the post itself, so there's just a link to the page) Love the look of that gauge cluster Edit: I just noticed this SBR has 2 road maps: the usual one and one in the guage display. I'm gonna force myself to not read too much into that.
Display on the left reads "eSBR", video also reveals the official name of the new electric variant...
I must say, with this new infrastructure, it would be interesting to see a homemade style electric conversion, especially on something like a covet or legran.
According to my watch's less-than-precise measurement, it takes it about 1.9-2.1 seconds to get from 0 to 100 km/h. I wonder what's the battery life on that thing?
It's actually a fair bit slower than that, more like 2.3s in that video (under very optimal conditions)
Will the display maybe change colour depending in which power mode you're in? Like, green for eco, blue for normal & red for sport (or something like that)? Or if even such power modes will be made...
WOW Did anyone notice the navigation in the gauge cluster and the dash? The gauge cluster looks so modern but the dash looks like the old Sbr's dash to me also if I could make a suggestion I don't know if this is on there all ready but maybe blue parts of the interior(middle of seat, Glove box ETC) in the eSBR
