I would like a Dyno for both Awd Fwd and Rwd vehicles so you can get a hp and tourqe readout without having to drive back and forth on a straight road.

    Something like this, any modders?

Doesn't need hp and tourqe readouts since there is a tool in beamng for that. I just want a rolling road so I don't need to drive my high hp cars and slide around on straight roads :)

Do you know why they ended up scrapping the idea?

Do it no matter what, you will be told that it is a bad idea that it is difficult, but just do not listen to them and do it again! Good luck!

I think Dyno need to be done like Rototest https://rototest.com/

You would switch on dyno wheels and brakes, which would contain supporting apparatus and then wireless dyno device would take readouts, or just use current ingame apps.

With rollers you could need quite large diameter rollers to make it work and even then there is slippage etc. thanks to tires being bunch of nodes.

Technically you don't need to do much more than lift the car up and set brakes that don't overheat, but it lacks dyno apparatus.

I don't think that doing it rototest way would be too difficult, not sure why such has not been done yet.

If one wants super simple, wheel itself would be just an axle, then support apparatus could be just to outer node of axle so apparatus is not powered:

Set such brakes that don't overheat and have gamepad analog control for brake, then use ingame UI apps to see power.

There might be some challenges of course, but working from there probably would give some results, maybe working more and you could have rototest thing done, but LUA side of things for power measurement, I have no idea.
