Remember that the Hopper was released on Easter. Plus the devs like to release updates around or on major holidays.
"hEy GuyS gAbeSter GavE mE tHe bEndOveR aNd #0000ffBuCk EarLY11!!11" (jokes aside, I made some quick edits to show what the two cars might look like in game, with a few details added.)
You sir made me very Hyped for the Bluebuck. Those lines, The V8s it will have. The Slow as inline 6, the bench seat, maybe the Bucket seat as a option. The X-Frame ( I think Gabe said i will have a X frame ) I Like the barstow, But something about a family 60s V8 4-door i love, Under rated is a 4 door 60/70s car.... playing 60s music in this, While the g920 race wheel, Oh god i love this Bluebuck already,. With beam having a Detail thing. God this to me will be the best car in the game. the 50s Burnside to me is better as a coupe. ( am a sedan man ) this Bluebuck.. as a sedan had me pumped. Anyway you get the point. Also the Wendova. never really got this kinda Car in Australia. We Kinda got the Mazda mx6 ( Ford probe ) As the Closest FWD V6 Coupe to this,. ( that i can think of ) And that was a Mazda with a ford logo on it, Where the Wendova is a USA FWD Beam Rear ( Does it have beam rear? ) V6... Different fish. So i am Not as Hyped for it ( Still am,any car i love ) The Bluebuck... has the U.S and Aussie Vibe. As We in Australia had old U.S cars we made here for a while, before we had OUR Local Ford Fairlane and LTD and Holden's caprice . We made the Chev impala as a base sedan, ( Pillared, with a v8 ) No inline 6 was on offer ( that was left to our Holdens ) Same with Ford. and dodge Anyway..... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. i think the Door Handel will be like this
I'm just gonna toss some stuff about the Bluebuck here: Comment about V8s: 1963 Gavril Bluebuck "V8, V8, V8, probably some more V8s, maybe a V8" Comment suggesting Bluebuck is an X Frame: Comment suggesting the Bluebuck will not be an x-frame (2 years before the other one though). 1963 Gavril Bluebuck "I'll try to make it pretty beefy. No X-frame shenanigans" Engine/transmission options: 1963 Gavril Bluebuck "I6, a couple of V8s, and a 3 speed auto or 4 speed manual. Same idea as the Moonhawk" Suspension: 1963 Gavril Bluebuck 1963 Gavril Bluebuck "SLA IFS in front, live axle rear suspension with (probably) leaf springs" "Might go with coils in the rear, they are easier to simulate"
The Barstow doesn't have an X frame, it's Unitbody. I'd also be shocked if it only had V8s, the big Chevys (and all of the low priced 3s) had standard sixes. I'd expect it to share the Barstows engine options, as well as hopefully adding a 2 speed auto and a 3 speed standard for historical accuracy.
The bluebuck was stated to have the same engine options as the barstow, (or maybe not), so it'll get a 6, plus small blocks and big blocks. It might get a 2-speed auto, but since its meant to be a higher end sedan, I'm not sure if it'll get a 3-speed manual.
Hmm sorry, I can't find it. Maybe I was thinking of the Wendover then. We can safely assume it will share at least some of the Barstow engines however, considering its from the same manufacturer and same era.
I updated my earlier post with some of Gabe's comments. He stated it will be the same general idea as the Moonhawk.
I'm just excited that the update will be here soon. I am thinking the best thing to do is enjoy what we get for this update! I'm always excited for new dev vehicles, but anything that makes the game run better in my opinion is also something I get hyped for. The wendover is something I've been wanting only because I had a 1988 Buick lesabre, which was similar in size and looks, based on the same platform as the Pontiac Bonneville. The bluebuck would be nice too, because I've been on a 60s cruising sedan kick.
Personally, I think that the next update will just be an extreme graphical overhaul, since they discontinued support for DirectX10 and the prolonged period of time between updates. There may be some additions to Italy added, but this is likely to mainly be graphical.
I'd like that to be true, but besides the DX10 being discontinued nothing else has been mentioned related to graphics unfortunately. Something slightly on topic though, no mans sky got vulkan support and apparently got a huge performance boost, and beamng has plans to try and get vulkan on this engine, so hopefully this is a priority because this game does need performance boosting
And who can forget the good old ( new ) EV SBR4. And maybe JUST maybe the diesel V8s. But no NEW car's in this update it seems. next update i am sure
Maybe. ( i hope not that far ) BUT the Devs did say its due soon, and they live to update on holidays . So in a few days i hope
The update will most likely be Friday, judging by past releases. The most important thing about this update will be some of the precedents it sets, most notably the precedent for updating older maps, as updated versions of Industrial Site, Port, Derby Arenas, and Small Island were confirmed to be included in this update. It is unknown of any other maps are ready at this time. The precedent set by the updates to these maps will likely affect the inevitable updates to East Coast USA, Hirochi Raceway, Jungle Rock Island, and possibly even Utah. We will also likely be seeing a far more detailed version of Italy, likely much closer to a finished product. UI improvements may be coming as well. Although improved map editor UI is almost certain, improvements to the rest of the UI may be possible. The Hirochi eSBR is also most likely appearing in this update. Although it's guaranteed to be completely different from the conventional SBR internally, it will also feature a new digital dashboard and supposedly a facelift. This could hint at the eSBR being a later model of the SBR4. The Gavril Bluebuck will most definitely not appear in this update, however it may feature in the August update, as it is supposedly in game. The Soliad Wendover may come out either in late 2019 or more likely in early/mid 2020. It is very, very unlikely that Traffic will appear in this update, as Gamergull was very recently hired in BeamNG, and unless they decide to literally copy-paste the mod in game, there is no way it could possibly be ready. I can't remember where I read it, but somewhere I believe a developer mentioned optimization for vehicles, possibly a product of discontinuing DX10 support, however I cannot find the source. And as always, the typical minor improvements will come as usual.
I couldn't agree more with your predictions. I also think there is a decent chance of the D-Series diesel and the timing-boards for the WCUSA dragstrip being released . Possibly even the mattress and ETK V12 that have been in the game files for a little while now. I wonder if ropeables (and therefore D-series tow truck) may be included in the next update. We haven't heard anything about them in a long time, but who knows, it may be a suprise... I wonder what other surprises will be included in the update? I'm sure there is more stuff being worked on that we haven't been told about...
TDev teased traffic logic awhile back, so there was work done before gamergull was hired. I don't think we will see anything new (maybe small changes to the current traffic app for testing or something), though it is possible we might see something basic.
