Discussion thread for the T-series more engines mod, which can be found here because I don't know how to link discussion threads to a mod.

I did record video, it is not the best, especially my driving is not the best, but maybe it is some use:
(it takes a while to process and all, after all it is over 2GB file)

Oh and I did manage to reverse into traffic sign before starting recording, so window is broken and mirror is missing, adds realism :D

I was watching this video and though there is similar road in BeamNG, thanks to B25Mitch, so had to try it.

This is one of my favorite clips from straight piped 12V71 the classic two stroke, whole different beast, it is very difficult sound to make as typical videos have sound recording by a potato, haven't found a way to get anything near that.

It is hard to believe you did manage to get so good sound with just stock samples, that must of taken lot of experimenting, I guess you have this same desire to find perfection in sounds and alike, really nice, I lack all those skills you have though!

Developers should take note of this mod, sounds so much better than current vanilla t-series, maybe could be part of stock content?

Thanks, I spent a lot of time trying to get it to sound just right. It certainly sounds better than the stock sounds, but I would like to try some custom sounds, if not for the 2-strokes, for the Jargl engines, since they're just using the same sounds as the stock engine. Hopefully I can get the models looking nicer so the turbos are actually modeled, which is my only problem with it right now.

(2-stroke diesel for me is like "Come on, it's the 80-s of 20 century, are you still using engine construction of 50-s?" But still, they sounds good)
As I wrote in comment, it would be nice to add engine like Cat 3408. 4-stroke V engine, 550 hp in stock.
Also it would be interesting to see some extraordinary engines, like soviet Yamz 248, for example. It has very interesting spec.
V-8, 4-stroke 14 liters volume, and it's mighty 240 HP. A lot of smoke, a lot of sound, but very little of work.

two-strokes aren't that old fashioned. Even in the late 90s, they got similar efficiencies as 4-strokes, and could make a lot more horsepower with a lot less weight. They were only retired in road-going use because they can't pass modern emissions regulations. 2-stroke diesels are still by large the most popular type of heavy marine engine, and get better performance than even modern 4-strokes. I might consider a V8 4-stroke engine, although not as much the Yamz, it's a bit old for the T-series.

Most powerful diesel engine in a world is 2 stroke diesel afaik.

Efficiency of these big engines scares electric motors:
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wärtsilä-Sulzer_RTA96-C

Sure, Wärtsilä 31 4 stroke is impressive in efficiency, but I would not bring any automotive engine into efficiency discussion.

It is worth to examine cruise ships and how those use every bit of heat, there is hardly any heat wasted, some are running even on renewable energy and marine stuff laughs at how primitive automotive tech is, with all two strokes.

could you please put the 707 (biggest engine) from the moonhawk on to this pack? i dont know how to mod, but from my understanding, if you did that, youd have all the components like the ecu, superchargers, and custom exhaust with it.

The 707 is not from the moonhawk, that is a mod my friend. The biggest engine the unmodded moonhawk has is the 378 V8 or whatever.

Sounds great. How big are the samples. You should only need a second or less long sample, and it'll keep the file size down. I can't wait for the v12 to be done to.

I'm not sure I'll be able to do that. Seeing I don't have many sound samples, they sound artificial if the sample at any rev range is cut to under a second. You can give it a try with the 8v92 sound though!

The sound in the video I posed is of the V12 Detroit Diesel, the 12v71.

Ok, you know more about this than me. But the 8V71 sound had 7 second samples, and I was able to trim them quite a bit without it sounding any worse. I don't really know how to use audacity though, and I ended up breaking everything. Either way, I would like to keep the file size as low as possible, but if you can't then I'm perfectly happy, the samples sound great.

I've found some really interesting truck engine- gas turbine engine. There were some experemental trucks with such an engine. From it's advantages- it is much smaller and lighter than diesel with the same spec. So it would be nice to have T-series with it.

How's work going on the 12v71 sounds? I'd like to release an update for this pretty soon, with the new sound samples.

Oh thank god someone else (Im looking at you @Tronadorous :p) is doing more good sounded engines! It sounds incredible.

EDIT: Ok this is getting frustrating. Downloaded, selected the right truck and yet, I don't have any new or different sounds. What I need to do to actually hear them?
    Of course I cleared cache.

ANOTHER TURBOEDIT: Apparently this mod doesn't like the other mod, Ultimate Engine Sound Pack, which I had, and forgot about it.
NOW it works, and omg, its glorious
