I'm as hyped up for this update as the rest of you, but there's still hope we could see something tomorrow. Having had a look back through the Devblog, both last year and the year before there was a major update within 2 days of Easter day. With Easter being late this year, the devs have actually had more time than usual so hopefully it will be a bumper update! 2018: April update released on Tuesday 3rd April (2 days after Easter day) and we got the Wentworth and track builder. 2017: April update released on Friday 14th April (yes Good Friday!!!) which gave us the Hopper and some major physics optimizations. 2016: Updates were more frequent back then, Easter sunday was 27th March but there were updates either side on Friday 11th March and Tuesday 19th April (with the latter providing us with the Miramar + Utah) So it'll be tomorrow, or Tuesday basically
I think there is a chance of an update Friday, seeing as the devs haven't had qualms releasing an on good Friday before. Thomatoes50 could just be messing with us, which the devs have done before as well. However, its probably not too likely.
I don't know, what he said might have legal backing. However, Tdev simply releasing the update might be allowed (not sure if the law extends to CEOs or not).
I'm pretty sure you can just schedule updates releases on steam, that's presumably how they did it previously. But, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Not all of the staff are in Germany, so it is possible for them to have staff on standby for an update. Plus, it should be a smaller update, so it would be easier than usual. But with Thomastoes comment, I think Tuesday is the next best chance
Ah i knew i heard it before, maybe JUST maybe it maybe a Engine exporter to the cars, That will be so sweet. Anyone say V12 Rwd Autobello? one thing. Everyone will put massive engines into there cars ( i will to ) But i will put a tiny engine in the Moonhawk, maybe even a high end i3.... see how fast i can get a i3 in a Boat. .or a boxer 6 twin turbo in the Work van? I say god yes.
something else to note about the transmission whine, I wonder if they have implemented forward-gear whine in the sequential gearboxes?
I desperately want an engine exporter, but most of that work would probably be on the side of the Automation team. I can't imagine it would be much work since the exporter is already there, but they have their priorities too --- Post updated --- Thomas'toes agreed to this, so I guess the update is at the bottom of the ocean.
I don't think that theres internet down there, I guess the update will never come. OT: I am hoping that the ESBR will have a realistic battery size and range. If the ESBR works as well as all the other developer content (which it will) then it will set the standard for electric vehicles in BeamNG.drive and give a benchmark for modders to base their creations off of.
https://www.beamng.com/threads/development-media.24313/page-3 not sure if it's been mentioned, but it sounds almost as if after the exhaust is "broken" the engine's audio becomes a lot more "forward"
I would not be surprised if the update comes later today. It's likely done, and possibly after staff complete whatever holiday/family/etc obligations they might have the update may be released. It's still early in the day, and updates usually come in the afternoon in the eastern United States.
i remember that the bus update got uploaded really late so still a little hope to get the update today
And maybe they already uploaded the update but the steam approval take a lot of time ? (Probably not but maybe)
