Beamng + laptop map invisible?

    Tried using google couldnt find anything
    This happened to me before on different laptops but wont go away here
    Dell precision m5400
    I5 520m
    Quadro fx1800m
    8gb ram
    It has worked fine before on this laptop..

    Try clearing cache. If that doesn't work then verify game files on steam.

    Already tried btw im running version 0.14 if that makes a difference as the newest one gives me an error saying cant find compatible dx10/11 device

    windows was only installed yesterday so no mods yet

    I mean it might be a driver issue with the graphics card, or it might just be the fact that the GPU is only DX10. I can't really think of anything else.

    Feel a bit stupid now regarding the map issue lol for some reason the fog was on when it spawned ? Usually it dissapears but whatever works now :D regarding the dx issue i dont think theres a different in requirements between 0.14 and 15 or whatevers the newes

    There is a difference.
    Please check this: https://blog.beamng.com/deprecation-of-directx10-support/

    DirectX10 was never officially supported, but it worked partially (some graphical effects did not work at all or correctly, like fog). With 0.15 we had to definitively cut DirectX10, as it's too old and holding back on what kind of work we can do on the renderer.

    Your GPU is DirectX10.
    In 0.14 you would have effects such as fog not working right. Lowering the graphical settings so it disables those effects is a way around that.
    And you cannot play versions past 0.15.
